We often hear that "to stay healthy, we must get rid of moisture", but Peng, a famous beauty doctor, reminds us that moisture in the body needs to be pushed by qi, so too much or not enough moisture is harmful to health. Mothers who often have obesity problems are more likely to gain weight after drinking water or losing weight!
Why do people get fat when they reach middle age? Peng said that Chinese medicine believes that "the stomach governs reception and the spleen governs transport and transformation". Any food that enters the body needs to be digested and absorbed by the spleen and stomach before it can be further converted into energy of the body. However, with the increase of age, the function of the spleen and stomach will weaken. Even if you eat as much as young people, you will still have indigestion or obesity. This is actually a manifestation of the deterioration of spleen and stomach function.
However, many mothers think, "I have a super good appetite, and it is definitely not spleen and stomach weakness." Peng said, in fact, a good appetite does not mean that the spleen has a good transport ability, but that it can be eaten very well. There is too much food in the stomach, but the transport function of the spleen is very weak, so it can't convert food into energy that the body can use, but it forms excess heat.

This is what Chinese medicine calls "strong stomach and weak spleen". If you choose high-calorie fried food, these are "turbid things" that cannot be transported. If it accumulates too much in the body, it will form fat. Moreover, because the spleen is located in the "middle jiao" of the human body, that is, the center of the abdomen, Peng said that many people start to gain weight from a big belly, which is soft at first and then becomes a strong "big belly"
If the spleen function is weak, it will further lead to kidney deficiency, because Chinese medicine believes that "kidney is the innate foundation and spleen is the acquired foundation". If the spleen and stomach are deficient in qi and blood, it will affect kidney qi. When the body is short of qi and blood, it will make the mother "even fat when drinking water"!
Peng said that many mothers are clinically obese, so mothers often feel: "I obviously don't eat much, even less than the average person, but I feel fat after drinking a few mouthfuls of water." She reminded that this is actually because the water that should have been metabolized is left in the body, so it looks obese. She suggested that mothers with this constitution should not only recommend a normal diet for three meals, but also add Chinese herbal medicines to strengthen the spleen and eliminate dampness, and increase some exercise, which will soon see good results.
In addition, if mothers check out the problem of fatty liver, it is recommended to start with "damp heat in the liver and gallbladder". Peng said that Chinese medicine believes that "dampness and evil persist", and the damp and heat in the liver and gallbladder channels cannot be removed in a short time. So damp and heat stick together, just like oil mixed in the face, and it becomes inseparable. To reduce the damp-heat in the liver and gallbladder, it is necessary to use bitter cold drugs, but these drugs can only be used for a short time. If you use them for a long time, you will be careful to damage the yang of the spleen and stomach. Zhang Zhongjing, an ancient Chinese doctor, mentioned in the synopsis of the golden chamber: "See the liver!"

She suggested that mothers who want to lose weight can drink "Rose Hawthorn Fat-reducing Soup", which uses rose San Qian, hawthorn and licorice to boil in 300ml of water, and then remove the residue. If there is a big meal, eating a paste after the meal will help to drain oil and reduce blood fat.
Press your hands, your feet and your stomach are fine.
In addition, acupoint pressing can also be used to reduce body fat and improve obesity. Peng suggested three health-care acupoints; Including Neiguan point, Huamen point and Sanyinjiao point. Neiguan point is located two inches above the horizontal line of our wrist and about two fingers wide. It is the intersection of "Qi of meridians" and "Qi of collaterals". Pressing before meals can reduce excessive gastric acid secretion and avoid overeating and stuttering.
The acupoint of Slippery Meat Gate is located one inch above the navel and two inches on the left and right sides, belonging to the stomach meridian. It is suggested that you can put your thumb in the position of the slippery door and press it frequently to help eliminate fat. I suggest you press it before meals to strengthen the spleen and eliminate dampness.
Sanyinjiao point, three inches above the ankle, is the intersection of liver, spleen and kidney. It can soothe the liver and regulate qi, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis. If you have diabetes, pressing can increase insulin content and help regulate the function of islet.
There are many contents about regulating body moisture. Peng recently compiled a "Water Conditioning Book". Mothers who want to know more about how to adjust their body water to keep healthy can refer to this book, which contains various acupoints and health care recipes. Mothers are welcome to refer to it.
