The Way of Health Preservation in Huangdi Neijing: Five Classic Principles
Huangdi Neijing is one of the classic works of Chinese medicine, including Su Wen and Ling Shu, which contains rich basic theories of Chinese medicine, physiology, pathology, drug treatment and health care.

Su Wen Qian Gu's Theory of Naivety records: "Those who know it are based on Yin and Yang, harmonious in skills, frugal in diet and constant in daily life, so they can be in harmony with God until the end of the day." The five aspects put forward here, that is, "methods should be based on yin and yang, techniques should be harmonious, diet should be moderate, daily life should be regular, and work should not be hasty", are the basic principles of health preservation and are of great significance to our daily health care.

What does this passage mean? Let me explain to you first: people who know how to keep in good health will take the changes of yin and yang of heaven and earth as an example and use various health care methods appropriately. Their diet is moderate and rhythmic, their daily life is regular, they can work moderately, and their life is both quality and regular, so they are healthy and energetic, and they can live to their natural age and die when they are over 100 years old.

Specific health preservation methods can be practiced from the following aspects.

Because "yin and yang are the way of heaven and earth", that is, yin and yang are the laws and regulations of nature, we must abide by and follow the laws of natural changes of yin and yang, such as the daily operation of day and night, the change of the moon every month, the reciprocation of seasons and solar terms every year, and the change of Jia Zi's luck every 60 years. The four-season regimen mentioned in Su Wen's theory of regulating qi and spirit and the one-day regimen mentioned in Su Wen's theory of carefree heaven are both concrete manifestations of "law is in yin and yang" For example, in terms of drinking tea in the four seasons, it is advisable to raise the "qi of hair growth" in spring, soothe the liver and replenish blood, and drink osmanthus tea, jasmine tea and rose tea when drinking tea; In summer, it is advisable to raise the "growth qi", clear the heart and tonify the body fluid, and drink green tea such as Longjing, Mao Feng and Biluochun when drinking tea; In autumn, it is advisable to raise "astringing qi", moisten the lungs and replenish qi, and drink Tieguanyin or oolong tea when drinking tea; In winter, it is advisable to keep "closed breath", tonify kidney and warm yang, and drink fermented tea such as black tea, black tea and Pu 'er.

For example, moxibustion for health preservation, "Dirty cold should be treated by moxibustion" in Su Wen's Theory of Dirty Qi, and "Moxibustion is strong in raw meat (appetizing, promoting granulation and growing meat)" in Lingshu Classic, which opened a precedent for health care moxibustion. For example, moxibustion at Zusanli point belongs to the stomach meridian, which is one inch away from the kneecap, and has the functions of regulating triple energizer, strengthening spleen and stomach, tonifying middle energizer and benefiting qi. Frequent moxibustion or massage at this point can stimulate appetite, help digestion, enhance physical and muscle strength, eliminate or improve fatigue, reduce diseases and prevent aging. The health-preserving proverb "If you want to be healthy, don't do it in Lisan" tells us that you can often moxibustion Zusanli for daily health care, and each time the local skin is moist.

Another example is drug health: drugs include oral drugs and external drugs. Oral drugs should be used in accordance with the principle of "break-even", and deficiency syndrome should be supplemented. Ginseng, American ginseng and other drugs should replenish qi, donkey-hide gelatin and rehmannia glutinosa should replenish blood, medlar and Dendrobium should replenish yin, and velvet antler and cordyceps should replenish yang. Buzhong Yiqi Pill, Wuji Baifeng Pill, Liuwei Dihuang Pill, Jinkui Shenqi Pill, Yang Yang Pill and other prescriptions. Evidence should be excluded and drugs such as rhubarb for relaxing bowels and notoginseng for removing blood stasis should be used. Prescriptions, such as Ma Zi Ren Pill for relaxing bowels, and Compound Danshen Tablets (dropping pills) for removing blood stasis. Topical drugs, such as umbilical plaster (clove, cinnamon, etc. ), can be used for the conditioning of cold-dampness diarrhea in children, and white mustard seed mud pills can be used for the prevention and treatment of chronic bronchitis.

Diet should be neither too hungry nor too full. According to the actual situation of today's society, we should pay special attention not to eat too much to avoid damaging the spleen and stomach. Doing so can maintain the normal function of spleen and stomach transport and improve the digestion and absorption of ingested food; Far away, there is no need to worry about undernutrition or overnutrition. Even middle-aged and elderly people can reduce obesity and even arteriosclerosis, coronary heart disease, fatty liver and other diseases.

Secondly, eating and drinking is rhythmic, that is, the time to eat. Our traditional habit is to eat three meals a day, morning, noon and evening, and at a fixed time. Only in this way can the digestion and absorption of the spleen and stomach be carried out rhythmically. Only when the spleen and stomach are coordinated and relaxed can the diet be digested and absorbed in an orderly manner and distributed throughout the body.

The third is moderate diet, complete varieties, appropriate proportion, harmony with smell, that is, balanced diet. Harmony means that in diet, the four characteristics of cold, heat, warmth and coolness and the five flavors of sour, bitter, sweet, pungent and salty need to be carefully reconciled to balance yin and yang, qi and blood, viscera and ensure health.

The former means that the schedule should follow the objective laws of nature, such as the one-day regimen in Su Wen's Tong Qi Tianlun and the twelve-hour regimen and meridian regimen derived from it. The latter means that the family environment and the working environment should also comply with laws and regulations. For example, Su Wen's Different Methods and Appropriate Treatments recorded the relationship between regional family environment and susceptibility to syndrome:

"The domain of the East, the land where heaven and earth were born, the land of fish and salt, and the seaside near water. He is black and careless, and his illness is carbuncle, so he should be treated in Bian Shi.

Westerners, land of gold and jade, land of sand and stone, land of heaven and earth. He eats fat and fat, so evil can't hurt him. His disease is born from the inside, and his treatment should be poisonous.

In the north, the land of heaven and earth is also high, and the wind and frost are cold. Its folk music is eaten in the wild, and it is riddled with diseases due to dirty cold. Its treatment should be moxibustion Ruo.

In the south, heaven and earth grow, the sun is flourishing, its underground, soil and water are weak, and fog is gathering. Its treatment should be microneedle.

In the center, the ground is flat and wet, so everything in the world is born. Its diseases are flaccidity, syncope, cold and heat, and the treatment should be guided by stilts. "

Huangdi Neijing not only advocates labor exercise, but also opposes overwork, and "tireless" is the principle requirement of labor exercise. For example, there are relevant records in Su Wen Xuan Ming Wu Qi Zhang. It is said that standing for a long time will hurt the muscles and bones, walking for a long time will hurt the fascia, sitting for a long time will hurt the muscles, and staying in bed for a long time will lead to qi deficiency. Pay attention to these aspects when taking care of students at ordinary times.
