Even after the third inoculation, the effective rate of preventing infection was only 36% at 14 days after inoculation and only 8% after 6 months.
So, is this really the case?
Tracing back to the source, we found that this picture first appeared in a simulation model of epidemic development in colleges and universities in Hong Kong reported by the Hong Kong investigation news agency Fax Agency in February this year. The data content is the calculation result of the model, not the real statistical data of Hong Kong society.
On February 10, Hong Kong Dagong * * Health College released the fifth wave epidemic development simulation model 1, in which the efficiency of each vaccine combination in different periods was calculated based on the data of different medical studies. It is estimated that the effective rate of preventing Omicron mutant virus infection on day 14 after the third dose of Banxing vaccine was 36%, and it dropped to 8% after 6 months.
So, what is the real situation?
The epidemic data released in Hong Kong on February 23rd, 65438 showed that in the fifth round of epidemic (202 1,12,31,2022,12,21), there were 2.32 million people infected in Hong Kong.
Roughly speaking, there is not much difference in the infection ratio between inactivated vaccine and mRNA vaccine.
