Why does the computer start so slowly?
Generally, everyone uses XP, and hackers only use 2000 when they are ready. Start with XP. I'm a rookie, so I'll do this article without depth first.

One: XP optimization skills, such as system weight reduction and accelerated startup.

If you are too lazy to type, you can skip the unnecessary introduction and say the steps directly. And I am disorganized, so I only look at what I can.

1: Reduce startup add-ins, unused services and IP settings.

Many people ask me why my system is getting slower and slower, especially when it is turned on. Let me see, there are at least 10 startup items. Not only REAL, thunder, video, software, but also firewall. If you are lazy, I can understand if you open QQ. Too many. I have to doubt your ability. Darling, leave a ctfmon.exe, or add a firewall, be lazy and add a QQ. Restart it. Feel it.

The service is introduced in detail in the system, so what I said is verbose.

Of course, setting automatic access is slower than specifying.

2. Turn on the pre-reading function.

Windows XP pre-reading settings can improve the system speed and speed up the boot. According to the following methods, CPU efficiency can be further utilized: HKEY _ local _ machine \ system \ current control set \ control \ session manager \ memory management. In the window on the right of PrefetchParameters, change the numerical data of EnablePrefetcher to 1 and restart viewing the progress bar. The system value of tomato optimization is 1, and the progress bar is scrolled once and a half. The default value seems to be 3. My machine is no better. The system has been used for three months, and it is still a lap and a half.

In addition, remind people who play software as often as I do, delete this file once if nothing happens, because WINDOWS will not delete the uninstallation software information by itself, and there will be a dead-chain file, which will be automatically recreated after deletion. You can delete all files except "Layout.ini". (In case there is something better than me: C:\Windows\Prefetch)

3. Clear the unused DLL in the memory

Hkkey _ local _ machine/software/Microsoft/Windows/currentversion In the registry, add an AlwaysUnloadDLL in Explorer, and the default value is set to 1. 0 has been disabled. Look at the key name to understand the meaning. The tomato system has been established again.

4: Automatically close the stop response program

Is it explorer.exe? Does it take half a day for the LAN to go wrong? Try to change the numerical data of AutoEndTasks with key value of 1 to 1 in HKEY _ Current _ User Control Panel desktop, and then log off or restart. The tomatoes are ripe again. Don't mention it again, like an advertiser.

5. Increase broadband speed

Windows XP Professional Edition reserves 20% bandwidth by default. Connect the bandwidth to a program that supports QoS, but most programs do not support QoS services, and not all devices provide QoS packet flow management. What's the use for us? It is better to make full use of it than to leave it idle.

Enter gpedit.msc in Start → Run to open the Group Policy Editor. Find "Computer Configuration → Management Template → Network →QoS Packet Scheduler", select "Restrict Reserved Bandwidth" on the right, select "Properties" to open the dialog box of Restrict Reserved Bandwidth, and select "Enable" to change the original "20" to "0" to release the reserved bandwidth.

After downloading the same file, I don't feel much difference, the average speed is a few k, and there is no strict test environment. Just by feeling. Change it, according to the truth, the use of the network should be improved.

6. Speed up the menu display.

Find the "MenuShowDelay" primary key under HKEY _ current _ usercontrolpanel desktop and change its value to "0" to speed up the menu display.

7. Optimize online neighbors

When using Windows XP, the system will search its own * * * shared directory, which can be used as a printer for the network * *, as well as the planned tasks related to the network, and then it will be displayed, which will obviously be much slower. These functions can be deleted if they are of little use to us. Find the current version of HKEY _ local _ MachinesofWareMicrosoft Windows Explorer Remote Media Space in the Registry Editor, delete (printer) and its {D6277990-4C6A-1/F8D87-00060F5 BF}, restart the computer and access the Internet again. But make sure you don't use a printer or set a scheduled task.

8: Delete the waiting time of ScanDisk.

Did you have a power outage? Did you get the kick reset? When XP shuts down abnormally, it takes 10 seconds to start disk scanning after restarting. If you think 10 second is too long, let it go for 0 second! Enter "CHKNTFS /T:0" in CMD, and then press Enter.

9: Briefly describe the startup sequence and peripherals.

If you are always careless. Optical drives like to put CDs, and floppy disks with floppy drives are also put in. Not hard disk boot. Then you wait slowly.

If you have a lot of USB devices, they have nothing to do with booting. All kinds of equipment on the chassis, including scanners, are piled up, so you should be patient.

If you can't even set the IP of your own food, you have to get it automatically. Don't lose your temper with the computer. Yours is not.

"Microsoft network files and printers * * *" will affect the speed, will it be changed?

10: It's not right to have too many hard disk partitions.

Some people like rules, subsystems, software, hardware, black, shadow, backup and so on. That can't be helped. My computer is divided into five areas. Don't worry, listen to me. C is the system, D disk is 800M, virtual memory is located here, E software and hardware learning, F disk hacker data, G disk sundries. More than one, later separated, but enough to make up for the performance. Divide it into several areas. Windows will load each partition at startup, and the loading time will increase as the number of partitions increases.

1 1: Too many desktop icons will cause trouble.

Too many desktop icons will also slow down the system startup. Every time Windows starts and displays the desktop, it needs to find the icons of desktop shortcuts one by one and load them. The more icons, the more time it takes. I suggest that you put the uncommon desktop icons in a special folder or simply delete them!

12: defragmentation.

Start-Programs-Accessories-System Tools-Defragmenter. 15% of available space is required. I don't like Baidu search. There are many softwares without free space restrictions.

I don't know what the advantages of defragmentation are. Give it a try.

14. Invalidates the reading ability of ZIP documents.

Windows XP supports ZIP documents by default, but the system will consume some resources for this. You can turn off this function by entering "regsvr32/u zipfldr.dll" in "Run" in the start menu.

15: system slimming

Delete the Driver.cab file (73MB) in the driver backup: Windows \ Driver Cache \ I386 directory. However, every time you install new hardware in the future, you must insert the Windows installation CD to delete the system file backup (generally unnecessary): run the command line sfc /purgecache.

Delete the backup dll file: You can do this as long as you copy the installation file or have an installation CD. Files under Windows \ System32 \ DLLCache (minus 200——300mb).

Delete the unused input method: enter the control panel \ Date, Time, Language and Regional Settings \ Region and Language Selection, select the language tab, remove the check mark in front of "East Asian Language Installation File", click OK, and then delete the unnecessary language options according to the prompts. If there is no setting, try to delete it, and it will be automatically restored. After restarting, directly delete the three folders "chtime", "imju8_ 1" and "imk6_ 1" under the "Windows\ime" folder (corresponding to traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean respectively).

Empty the temporary files of the system: under the directory "\ documents and settings \ user name \ local settings \ temp" (hidden directory by default), storing temporary folders and discarded documents left by software installation can release hundreds of megabytes of hard disk space. This method can be used frequently.

That's all. Find the rest yourself. Someone wants to delete the help folder, and I have nothing to say. Suit yourself.

What? Restart, shut down and read other people's articles.

Attachment: Understand your computer in all directions.

Windows XP already has a powerful system information collector. Start → Help and Support, Help and Support Center window, select "Use tools to view your computer information and analyze problems" on the right, and then select "My computer information" in the list on the left, that's it.
