What kind of tea is Biluochun? Who is suitable for drinking?
Biluochun is produced in Dongting Mountain, Taihu Lake, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Dongting mountain is divided into east and west hills. Dongting Dongshan is a peninsula, like a huge ship extending into Taihu Lake, and Dongting Xishan is an island, standing in the lake. The climate of the two mountains is mild, with annual average temperature 15.5 ~ 16.5℃ and annual rainfall 1200 ~ 1500mm. The water surface of Taihu Lake is wet with water vapor and mist, and the soil is slightly acidic or acidic. In addition, the texture is loose, which is very suitable for the growth of tea trees.

Biluochun belongs to green tea. Mainly produced in Dongting Mountain of Taihu Lake, Wuxian County, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, so it is also called "Dongting Biluochun". Dongting Biluochun tea is one of the top ten famous teas in China, with many buds, tender fragrance, clear soup and mellow taste. Biluochun tea has a history of 1000 years. Folk first called it "Dongting tea", also called "scary tea". According to legend, a nun went to the mountains for a spring outing and picked some tea. After making tea, it smells strange and blurts out "it smells scary", so the locals call this kind of tea "scary fragrance". During the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Kangxi inspected and tasted this famous tea with a green soup and a spiral curl, which was greatly appreciated, but he thought it was "surprised and fragrant" and its name was indecent, so it was named "Biluochun". Since then, it has become a tribute tea every year.

Dongting Biluochun production area is a famous tea-fruit intercropping area in China. Tea trees are planted alternately with peach, plum, apricot, plum, persimmon, orange, ginkgo, pomegranate and other fruit trees. Rows of green tea awnings are like green screens, and pieces of fruit trees are shaded like umbrellas, covered with frost and snow, and blocked by autumn sunshine. Tea trees and fruit trees are connected by branches and roots. The aroma of tea and fruit has cultivated the natural quality of "Biluochun". As the Ming Dynasty's Tea Solution said, "Tea gardens should not be mixed with evil trees, but osmanthus, plum blossom, magnolia, rose and pine and bamboo can shelter frost and snow and autumn sun." Tea trees and fruit trees are planted alternately, which makes Biluochun tea have unique natural aroma and excellent quality. The finished tea is compact in shape, slender in rope, light green, elegant in aroma, fresh and refreshing, clear in soup color, soft and uniform in leaf bottom, and sweet after drinking.

Biluochun tea is tightly knotted, curled like a snail, with white hair, silvery green and tender leaves. After brewing, the tea flavor slowly stretches, and the tea color is silvery green, fragrant, cool and sweet. As early as the late Tang Dynasty and early Song Dynasty, it was listed as a tribute. Suitable for drinking tea at home.

[Edit this paragraph] History and legends

Dongting Biluochun is a treasure of famous tea in China, which is famous at home and abroad for its beautiful appearance, bright color, rich aroma and mellow taste. When did "Biluochun" begin and where did its name come from? There are different opinions. According to the Grand View of unofficial history in Qing Dynasty (Volume I), "There are several wild teas on the cliff of Robbie Peak in Dongting Mountain, and the natives call them' astringent'. Kangxi's birthday ... Chen Fu Zhu Pei bought this kind of tea ... and got the name "Biluochun" because of its name. Since there is a local department, 18 years old will buy service. " According to legend, Wang Ao, the prime minister of the Ming Dynasty, was a native of Donghoushan Land Lane, and "Biluochun" was his title. According to Record with Sword, there is tea in Dongting Mountain, which is slightly delicate and extremely sweet, commonly known as' scary', and the person who produces Biluofeng is especially good, named' Biluochun'. If this is true, Biluochun tea should have started from the Ming Dynasty, and it was famous before Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River. Some people think that "Biluochun" is named after its curly shape like a snail and green color, and it was picked in early spring. According to Suzhou fuzhi, "wild tea table plants are produced in Robbie's stone wall in Dongting Mountain, and the natives collect them in baskets every year, and there is no difference." In a certain year of Kangxi, tea was harvested and there were many leaves. Because in my arms, the tea is warm and the fragrance is sudden. Tea pickers shouted: scare people! Tea got its name. "

According to Wang Yingkui's Essays on Liunan in Qing Dynasty, Emperor Kangxi, the sage of Qing Dynasty, visited Taihu Lake for the third time in the spring of the thirty-eighth year of Kangxi (1699). The governor bought a "shocking" fine tribute from the local tea master Zhu. The emperor was unruly by his name and was named "Biluochun". This is one of the stories about the origin of Biluochun's nickname. Later generations commented that Emperor Kangxi took its turquoise color, curled up like a snail, picked it in spring, and got it from Robby Peak in Dongting, giving it a good name. Since then, "Biluochun" has become famous all over the world and has become a tribute to the Qing Palace.

The legend of Biluochun's nickname

The origin of the name "Biluochun" has a touching folklore. During the Yunxi period, there lived an industrious and kind orphan girl named Robbie on the Dongting Mountain in the west of Taihu Lake. Robbie is beautiful and smart, likes singing and has a mellow and clear voice. Her singing is as beautiful and clear as running water, and people in the mountain village like to hear her sing. On the Dongshan Mountain opposite Dongting, there was a young fisherman named A Xiang. A Xiang is brave, upright and helpful. People in dozens of miles around Dongting East and Wuxian Xishan admire him. Miss Robbie's melodious songs often float into the ears of A Xiang who is fishing on Taihu Lake. A Xiang was moved by Robbie's wonderful singing, so he admired her silently, but there was no reason to see her.

One day in the early spring of a certain year, a dragon suddenly jumped out of Taihu Lake and settled in Hushan, forcing people to build a temple for it on Xidongting Mountain, and choose a girl to be the "Mrs. Taihu Lake" every year. The people of Taihu Lake should not demand violence, but Long Naiyang said that he would level the western hills and rob Robbie. A Xiang was very angry when he heard the news. In order to protect the safety of Dongting neighbors and Robbie, and maintain the quiet life of Taihu Lake, A Xiang secretly came to the West Dongting in the dead of night, holding a sharp weapon and fighting the dragon for seven days and seven nights. A Xiang and Long were both seriously injured and lying on the bank of Dongting. Neighbors rushed to the lake and killed the dragon; A Xiang, the dragon hero who was seriously injured and fell in a pool of blood, was rescued back to the village. In return for saving his life, Robbie asked A Xiang to be taken to his home to take care of himself and heal the wound. Due to his injuries, A Xiang was in a coma and his life was dying.

One day, looking for herbs, Robbie came to the bleeding place where A Xiang struggled with dragons, and suddenly found a small tea tree with lush foliage. To commemorate A Xiang's contribution to the Dragon War, Robbie transplanted this small tea tree to Dongting Mountain and took good care of it. Just after the Qingming Festival, the tea tree spat out fresh bud leaves, but A Xiang's body became weaker and weaker, and the soup and medicine could not get in. Anxious Robbie suddenly thought of the tea tree cultivated with A Xiang's blood on the mountain, so she ran up the mountain with tea buds in her mouth, made a bowl of green and fragrant tea soup, and handed it to A Xiang with both hands. A Xiang was refreshed after drinking it. Robbie saw a smile from A Xiang's determined pale face for the first time, and his heart was full of joy and relief. When A Xiang asked her where she got the "fairy tea", Robbie told A Xiang the truth. A Xiang and Robbie look forward to a better life in the future. So Robbie went up the mountain every morning, brought back new tea buds full of crystal dew, rubbed them and dried them, and made them into fragrant tea for A Xiang to drink. A Xiang's body gradually recovered; However, Robbie gradually lost his original spirit because of holding tea every day, and even returned the auspicious human feelings, and finally died of haggard.

A Xiang never imagined that he was saved, but lost the beautiful and kind Robbie. He was heartbroken, so he and his neighbors buried Robbie under the tea tree on Dongting Mountain to comfort Robbie's fragrant soul, so he called this strange tea tree Robbie Tea. The tea leaves made from the bud leaves of Robi tea tree in spring are slender and curved like snails, with light green color, elegant fragrance and clear green soup color. Although Dongting Lake has experienced many vicissitudes, Biluochun tea, which was bred by A Xiang's blood and Robbie's childlike heart, is still unique and fragrant.
