Butterfly Love is an ancient rose variety in China, which was introduced to Switzerland in 1934.

Iris is in full bloom all the year round, with rich colors. Even in winter, it still has buds, which is a rare feature in ancient roses. It changed from milky yellow at first to orange red, and finally to rose red. When it is fully open, it presents different colors, just like a butterfly attached to a flower, hence the name butterfly rose.
