There are two opportunities to change majors after entering school. The first time was shortly after entering school, some students majoring in architecture and urban planning were forced to change their majors because they failed freehand drawing. Then the architecture department screens freehand brushwork in the whole school, and those who pass can be assigned to architecture or urban planning. This opportunity is not necessarily there, it depends on how many people have been brushed off by freehand brushwork.
The second chance is at the end of freshman year. If your grades are outstanding, all courses are above 85 points, and your social activities and student work are outstanding (Student Union and Youth League Committee), you can get the opportunity to change your major, mainly through interviewing teachers in the target major and assessing the single subject (depending on the target major).
As a female student, it is suggested that architecture and urban planning should be the first choice when changing majors. After graduation, she will basically enter the design institute, and it is absolutely in short supply, followed by water supply and drainage engineering and building environment and equipment engineering. There will still be some gender discrimination in relative employment (every major is the same), but if she gets good grades, she has a great chance to enter the design institute and has a good relationship with teachers, so it will be easy to change majors in the department. You can ask me again if you have any questions.
