Starting from 2005, Tongzi plans to build a bamboo industrial base with a total area of 600,000 mu, mainly Chimonobambusa bambusa, in five years, and realize the goal of bamboo industrial output value of 2 1 100 million yuan. In the past two years, the bamboo industry has developed rapidly through scientific planning and careful management. The total area of bamboo shoots in the county has reached 450,000 mu, which has become one of the four major industries of "bamboo shoots, vegetables, animal husbandry and flue-cured tobacco" and promoted the strong economic development of the county.
