Classical dance, named in 1950s, is a representative branch of China dance. The initial basic training is combined with the training system of ballet, which is a classical dance with China style based on the traditional folk dance and refined, sorted, processed and created by professionals.
China classical dance was once called "drama dance" by some people. Because it is a mixture of drama and dance, most of the dance movements handed down are preserved in drama and dance, and some dance postures and shapes are even preserved in paintings and decorative dance images on grotto murals, sculptures, stone reliefs, brick reliefs, pottery figurines and various unearthed cultural relics in China.
Since 1950s, China dancers have made great achievements in the research, arrangement, reappearance and development of China classical dance, established a set of China classical dance teaching materials, and created a large number of dances and dance dramas with the style of China classical dance, forming a perfect combination of delicacy and mellow, combining rigidity with softness, blending scenes, combining skills, essence, spirit, hand, eye, body, method and step.
