★ Open: It means that the hip joint opens outward to both sides of the human body. The opening of hip joint stretches the lines of human body and increases the performance ability of human lower limbs. In ballet, "opening" is difficult, and it must be opened from hip joint to knee joint, wrist joint and toe. Don't try to open the parts that are easy to open, and don't open the parts that are not easy to open, so it is easy to twist up and down and strain muscles or ligaments. Opening the hip joint can stretch the lines of the human body, and opening the shoulder joint is not only beneficial to straighten and tighten the back, but also can add a high-pitched spirit and tall and straight temperament to the actor.
★ Tension: It is also one of the basic elements of ballet. In the basic training class, stretching your feet is one of the topics that teachers often remind students. It can be said that as long as the strength leg moves, especially off the ground, it must be stretched. There are two important functions of foot extension. First, the extension of the foot undoubtedly prolongs the length of the leg and strengthens the streamline elegance of the leg. Second, foot extension training can make the ankle joint get strong exercise and enhance the sensitivity from ankle joint to toe joint.
In general beginners' foot extension exercises, it often happens that the instep does not extend the toes or only the toes do not extend the instep, which does not meet the requirements of the specification. Extending the foot must start from the ankle joint, penetrate the strength to the toes, and let the toes find the center of the foot. In fact, the tighter the toes on the instep, the tighter the legs and knees will be. An actor must endure thousands of boring and monotonous foot stretching exercises and find the true meaning of basic ballet training in foot stretching.
★ Straightness: It is a whole concept in basic training, requiring the body to be upright and straight, the waist and buttocks not to bend, not to hold the chest and abdomen, and to tighten the knees when the legs need to be straightened. There are two purposes to require the human body to be straight in basic training. First, in terms of spiritual temperament, it makes people have a pleasing natural and handsome spirit and gives people a youthful beauty. Second, from the perspective of skills and technical training, in any case, due to the needs of dance modeling, when the upper body leans forward, backward, left and right, the center of gravity of the human body must be strictly vertical, and the vertical center of gravity is necessary for the human body in an upright state. Only in this way can the dance be calm. People's figure in dance is ever-changing, and only the center of gravity is constantly adjusted in action. So we can know that upright training in basic training is a skill training.
★ Li: It seems to be similar to "straight", which is true, but it is superficial to understand it only from this angle. "Li" has its own meaning. First, in the overall concept of the human body, "standing" will bring people a sense of elevation, which is a kind of lightness and agility, similar to "straightness". The second refers to standing at the waist, which is the true essence of "standing" and must not be taken lightly. Because the waist is the part with the largest range of physical activity.
