Is the heating and clothes reliable?
Buying a thermal underwear may be the first choice for some people to keep out the cold. Thermal underwear, which was named as "winter artifact" by merchants, is also very popular with everyone. So is this hot underwear really that magical?

Is the so-called best-selling underwear reliable? The reporter specially bought two kinds of thermal underwear. Gray heating underwear was bought by reporters in regular shopping malls, and the price was relatively expensive. Black heating underwear was bought at the roadside market, and the price was much cheaper. In Xi engineering university, Shaanxi provincial key laboratory of functional clothing fabrics,

Professor Meng will take the reporter to do an experiment. "The experiment we are going to do today is to simulate the evaporation of water vapor from human skin and see how the two kinds of heating underwear heat up."

In order to simulate the temperature and humidity of people wearing underwear, Professor Meng added hot water of about 36 degrees to a steam humidifier, and continuously humidified steam against two kinds of heating underwear. At the same ambient temperature, Professor Meng measured the temperature of the laboratory at that time at 265,438 0 degrees Celsius with two thermometers, and inserted the two thermometers into two samples of thermal underwear. After the steam engine works for about 15 minutes, turn off the steam engine and observe the degrees of the two thermometers at the same time.

Through the experiment, we can see that the temperature of gray heating underwear is from 2 1 to 24 degrees, and the temperature has increased by 3 degrees Celsius. As for the black heating underwear, it is still about 2 1 degree, and there is basically no change.

Professor Meng said that the reason why the temperature of gray heating underwear can rise by 3 degrees may be because it contains heating fibers, which is the fundamental reason why underwear can heat itself. The heating fiber can change the water vapor absorbed by steam into liquid water, and the liquid water converts the heat of vaporization into heat energy and releases it, so its temperature rises.

Through the small experiment just now, the gray heating underwear can really heat itself, so how does this heating underwear compare with our traditional thermal underwear?

Professor Meng said that underwear containing heating fiber can heat itself, but it can only increase the temperature by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius. In order to compare the thermal effect of traditional thermal underwear, Professor Meng measured thermal underwear with cotton wool in the same way. Judging from the thermometer's degree, after waiting for about fifteen minutes, the thermometer's degree only rose by about 1 degree.

According to Professor Meng, heating underwear is a patented technology in the industry, but now there are many heating underwear on the market, many of which do not use heating materials such as heating fibers, and basically have no heating function. Everyone should choose big brands with test reports, so as to effectively buy real heating products. But thermal underwear, it does not have this (heating) function, it is mainly to prevent the loss of human body temperature and heat, mainly relying on thickness to improve this warmth.
