After FontCreator version, direct saving will be saved in fcp format. The method of saving in ttf or otf format is as follows:

Click "File",

Select Export Font,

Select export as TrueType/OpenType font. You can save fonts in ttf or otf format.

Click "File",

Select Export Font,

Select Export Settings,

Set in the Output File.
