What are the basic movements of belly dancing?
According to the movement route, the basic movements of belly dance can be divided into four categories: circle, figure eight, straight line and sago. Each type of movement is applied to different parts of the body and completed in different directions, which forms a complex basic movement in belly dance. The following is a brief list: circular movements: around the shoulder, horizontal round chest, vertical round chest, upper round chest, lower round chest, horizontal round hip, hip rotation, upper round hip and lower round hip; Eight-character movements: chest eight-character, upper and lower eight-character hips, front and rear eight-character hips, body wave (positive and negative), big wave arm, snake arm; Linear action: chest lifting, chest lowering, chest pushing, hip pushing, hip lifting, hip sitting, hip lifting and hip pushing; Sago: shoulder sago, upright sago, hip sago, hip sago and so on. In addition to the above four categories, there are various gestures and steps. Because the names of these actions have not yet formed a unified standard and are relatively flexible, I will not list them one by one here, and will introduce them in detail in later articles.
