Declare articles truthfully, even if they are not allowed to be brought in, they will not be punished. It is suggested that the items to be declared should be stored in a centralized way for inspection. Most of the declared articles will be left to the applicant after inspection, but if they pose a threat to Australia's biological environment, they may need to pay disinfection fees or the articles may be confiscated and destroyed. The inspection is usually aimed at suspicious persons or articles, and may take the form of X-ray machine scanning, unpacking and sniffed by police dogs.
