The difference between carp, crucian carp, grass carp and chubby fish
Don't talk about habits and characteristics, don't copy web pages, and say something easy to master in life:

In fact, chubby fish are easy to mix with silver carp, and they look similar and have fine scales. If two fish are put together, chubby fish is thicker than silver carp and has flowers on its body, so it is also called silver carp, because its head is big (and of course it is the best to eat), and it is easy to distinguish it from carp, crucian carp and grass.

Differences among carp, crucian carp and grass;

Carp is common, characterized by whiskers near the nostrils, but crucian carp and grass do not. Carp's mouth is pinched open by hand, with a slightly flat bottom and a large semicircle on it, forming a horseshoe shape. Crucian carp and grass are not so exaggerated. Crucian carp is slightly round and grass carp is oval. If you have to knead it round, you can't knead the shape of the carp mouth.

Carp and crucian carp: when they are the same size, carp are thick and thin, yellow or red, black and white (wild), and yellow and fat at home. Carp's back at the back of the head begins to bulge, then straightens, and begins to descend at the end of dorsal fin. The body is quadrangular, with a big head and a small tail. The carp has a protruding back and a spindle-shaped body. There is a black film on the belly of crucian carp after it is opened, which tastes bitter and is slightly harmful to the body. If you want to tear it off, carp don't have this thing.

Carp and grass carp: Carp's mouth looks down as if it wants to eat something under its body (the same is true when fishing, underwater), and grass carp's mouth is in the middle line of its head, as if it wants to eat something in front. With the same body shape, grass carp is slender (called chubby in Northeast dialect or Beijing dialect) and has a feeling of wanting to hold it with hands, but carp doesn't have this feeling, just like waist, hehe.

A piece of scale in the middle line of carp (from beginning to end) is called rib scale. No matter the size of the fish, there are 36 scales. You can count if you are bored! I remember grass carp seems to be like this, so I can understand the meaning of lanky and stout.
