—— Excellent young swimming coach Gao
Among the swimming coaches in sports schools, high qualifications belong to the fourth generation. In terms of academic qualifications, he graduated from a key university, high flyers, with a brilliant mind; As far as teaching achievements are concerned, he is the best among young coaches and a typical rising star.
20 19, 10 On a weekend in June, under the arrangement of Vice President Bai Ziyue, I met this' young man' who had high hopes from the coaches of the older generation in the swimming pool office. Saying that he is an afterlife is actually a relative statement, because as soon as I opened my mouth, I soon knew that he was 36 years old. If I can describe my first impression of Gao in a few words, I think I can use the following words: Gao, Thin, Black, Quiet, Steady, Simple and Profound. ...
Gao was born in 1983, a worker's family, and lived by the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. When I was a child, I was tall, thin and tall, with a slightly thin figure and a pair of black and white eyes with aura. 1990 At the beginning of the school year, seven-year-old Gao entered Maiyuqiao Primary School and became a freshman. Shortly after school started, one day, an old uncle with a tall, kind face and a loud voice came to the class. The teacher in charge of the class said that this uncle is the coach of Gongshu Swimming Pool. The coach's uncle chose two or three people in the class, Gao is one of them. The selected coach is Zhang, a senior coach who later became his first coach. He is selling fish bridges and small fish. Also selected with Gao was Luo Xuejuan, a classmate who later became an Olympic champion.
When Gao first joined the swimming team, his parents were not very supportive. But he likes swimming very much, and his parents have no clear objection. Later, I was obviously strong in swimming, and I studied consciously at ordinary times, and my academic performance was well managed, which changed my parents' attitude 180. Gao began to participate in the competition in the third grade of primary school and won many championships in the city swimming competition. 1996 graduated from primary school and was sent to Hangzhou No.4 Middle School because of his good swimming skills. He joined the provincial swimming team in the second day of junior high school and studied under coach Li. In 2006, 5438+0, fourth place in the national games 4X 100 relay, third place in the national short-course swimming short-course championship in 2002, and champion in the 4X 100 relay. In 2004, Gao, 2 1 year-old, retired from the provincial team, and was admitted to the Law Department of Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou without examination because he won the honor of the top three in the national competition and the title of national athlete.
The four years of university have broadened our horizons, cultivated our sentiments, enhanced our cultural self-restraint and exercised our social activities. Because of his excellent grades, outstanding ability and positive thinking, he was elected as the general branch secretary of the college in his senior year.
In 2008, Gao, who graduated with a bachelor's degree, returned to Hangzhou and first worked as an intern in the city procuratorate. At that time, the leaders of the procuratorate were very impressed with him and hoped that he would stay. However, during his internship, he heard the news that Chen Jinglun Sports School openly recruited swimming coaches. After much consideration, he decided to apply, because he still had an unfinished swimming dream in his heart. On the day of recruitment, with good cultural quality and skill quality, he easily passed the written examination, interview and training subjects, and was finally admitted to Chen Jinglun Sports School with the highest total score.
At the beginning of 2009, Gao officially entered the sports school and became an internship coach. When I changed from an athlete to a coach, I felt uneasy at that time, but I was full of hope. What makes him uneasy is how to teach well: "Before becoming an athlete, you only need to manage your own training, while becoming a coach needs to manage twenty or thirty athletes." For athletes of different ages and levels, coaches need to think more and more. And his hope is: "I hope to train high-level athletes, I hope I can teach my skills to young athletes, and I hope that the athletes I teach can step onto the international arena in the future." "
During his internship, his master was Bai Ziyue, a gold medal coach from Chen Jinglun. Speaking of it, when Hong applied, Bai Ziyue was his interviewer, and Gao left a deep impression on him during the interview. Coincidentally, I later learned that both of them are disciples of coach Zhang, and they are brother and sister in terms of seniority. Although they are siblings according to seniority, Gao always treats Bai Ziyue as the master, whether in public or in private.
The main impression Gao gave Bai Ziyue during his internship was that he was modest and eager to learn. According to Bai Ziyue's memory, "Gao Hong Jun was a little introverted and didn't talk much. Generally, I don't express my opinions easily, but I am modest and eager to learn. Besides watching and listening, he can also think and explore. If he doesn't understand, he will come to me later. " Gao is very aura and can turn what he has learned into his own. Gradually formed its own unique style of material selection, enrollment, training and competition. During the internship, in addition to learning from the master, I also got guidance from other old coaches. Chen Jinglun Sports School has a fine tradition of mentoring, and the coaches of the older generation always know everything about studious young people without reservation.
In July 2009, Gao began to teach independently. Children attending summer training classes are all selected from kindergartens in Gongshu District two or three months in advance. During that time, in addition to teaching in the swimming pool, he was old enough to stand on the shore and observe which children could swim well and learn quickly. After the 45-day training course, he selected 40 students from 150 as his first batch of students.
Gao is a thoughtful coach with a high starting point. Thanks to his experience as the secretary of the Communist Youth League branch in the university, he is good at communicating and talking with parents and students, reaching the unity of thoughts, understanding and goals with them, and striving to create a "* * * body" that keeps pace with the times. He is well aware of the importance of coordinating the relationship among "coaches, parents and students" for effective training. When talking about the relationship between coaches, parents and athletes, he made a wonderful metaphor: coaches, parents and athletes are an equilateral triangle. The best results can be achieved only if the three work closely together, and neither side can have any shortcomings. I'm afraid I don't understand, he added. The task of a coach is to train as effectively as possible. He can only cope with two or three hours of training. In addition, students' thoughts fluctuate in time, and eating, sleeping and studying are mainly managed by parents. Students should trust the coach, believe in the coach's training plan and complete it to the letter, so as to improve their grades.
Being a high school student is happy. Because he never beats or scolds students, he will talk to him when something goes wrong, find out the reason and solve the problem from the root. Because he knows that training cannot be forced, "athletes can't train blindly. Instead of liking it, it is better to do other things you like. Since you are engaged, you should love it. " Because he has every student in his heart, he will help them set a long-term goal according to their talents and wishes, and every child will be happy because he has completed a small goal at a stage. Therefore, there is a good training atmosphere in his team, and negative training rarely happens. He and his students often say: our training is hard and happy, because it is hard, so happy!
Gao is a coach who can "educate people". In the usual training and competition, he will consciously cultivate students' independent personality. Take taking part in the competition as an example. Many coaches take it for granted that the students participating in the competition are all on their own, and only he regards every game as an opportunity to exercise students' independent spirit. Before each competition, he would tell his students: You can only compete on your own. Coaches and parents only help you. You are your own protagonist in the competition, so you must have confidence in yourself. Because he usually pays attention to the cultivation of independent ability, his students always look very sophisticated when they come to the competition, and few of them play badly in the competition. But there are also cases of abnormal performance. Once in a provincial competition, a student with the strength to win a medal fouled. If it were another coach, he might lose his temper, but he didn't. As soon as the student gets into the water, go and comfort him. Losing medals is not indifferent, but between medals and the healthy growth of students, he chose the latter. "On the road of children's growth, he should suffer setbacks. We should not be absent when guiding him, but should be smooth when comforting him.
How to do a good training course? Gao's answer is only two words: effective! A good classroom must reflect efficiency. Usually he spends a lot of time on study and research. For example, every paper in a swimming magazine will be carefully studied, and if it is inspiring, he will extract it. For example, he often browses swimming forums, watches endless swimming videos, and selects videos suitable for students to watch and learn. For example, he is willing to spend a lot of time making detailed training plans for students at different levels. His classes are never random, and the number of training and the application of training methods are the results of experience accumulation, exploration and reflection. If the training effect of the day is not satisfactory, he will update and adjust it in time when he participates in this content next time. Besides, he never delays his training class, because he thinks there is no need to delay it. In addition, during the whole year of training, he gives students the most holidays, especially during the Spring Festival, which usually lasts for one week (usually three days), so that students can fully enjoy the festival.
"Training is not a simple accumulation of time and quantity. Coaches should teach efficiently and students should practice efficiently. " In addition to efficient training courses, he also encourages students to bring "efficiency" to school study. He often says to his students: If you want to practice swimming, swimming will take up a lot of study time, so you need to improve your efficiency when you study at school, so that you can "study and train correctly". Improving efficiency has become the knowledge of the swimming team, so his students generally get good grades. Many freshmen have quickly improved the efficiency of study and life through swimming training.
Coach Bai Ziyue said: "Gao Hong Jun not only has strong business ability, but also has excellent ideological style. I like him because he is an independent coach. Although the coaching time is not long, his performance in training is already the best among the younger generation. " As early as 20 12, a Xu Yue student from his team participated in the provincial competition and won three gold medals. From 20 12 to 20 17, six students he coached participated in all previous national youth swimming competitions on behalf of Zhejiang team, and five of them won the championship. Last year, at the 20 18 provincial sports meeting, his students won 7.5 gold medals, which is quite high in Chen Jinglun Sports School with many experts.
Gao said that half of his achievements in recent years are due to his wife. In the sports school, everyone knows that Gao and his wife are a couple who cooperate tacitly. Usually, Hu Yue participates in the younger group, but he participates in the older group himself. He has a lot of business and quantity, just like Xu Guoyi and Lou Xia, the husband and wife of the national team. Gao said that his wife is a national swimming champion. After retiring, she studied undergraduate at Shanghai Jiaotong University. After reading, she worked as a swimming coach in Yuhang District Sports School. During her work, she completed the master's course of Zhejiang University and graduated with a major in physical education. The two married because of gay interests and hobbies. Up to now, their children have also gone to kindergarten. Speaking of his children, Gao said that he and I have to train every day, and children are usually taken care of by the elderly on both sides.
Gao shared with me one of the most disturbing things in his coaching career. "He was the first athlete I taught and is now in high school. His sports level has reached the level of national athletes, and he can also get the top three in national professional competitions. This level is very rare in amateur teams, but he finally chose to study and become a student athlete instead of a professional athlete. It's a pity for a coach. He didn't have a chance to see what height he could reach after training in a professional team, but his choice was understandable. The swimmer will have the opportunity to enter a first-class university through swimming specialty students next year, and continue to train and improve in the university. As a coach, as long as a student chooses a smooth and good road, which is helpful to his future, we should all support it.
That afternoon, in the swimming pool, I talked with coach Gao for two hours. He is a chatterbox. His simple speech and modest attitude left a deep impression on me. At the end of the interview that day, I asked the last question prepared in advance: What is your future goal as a young coach? He thought carefully for a while, raised his eyes and said firmly: I think the immediate and long-term goal is to carry forward the fine tradition of the older generation of coaches, consciously shoulder the heavy burden, and strive to continue the glory of swimming in Hangzhou.
