Women:100m, 200m, 400m, 800m,1500m, 5000m,10000m, marathon,100m hurdles, 400m hurdles, high jump, pole vault.

***46 events, including 24 men and 22 women.

There were 47 events in the World Championships last year, among which the women's 3000-meter obstacle first appeared in the World Championships. However, due to the principle of "equality between men and women" and "slimming plan" in the Olympic Games, the same event will no longer be added, and it will also appear at the Olympic Games for the first time in 2008.
