Because of various reasons and the epidemic situation before the Spring Festival, I also stopped practicing yoga for nearly two months, and I don't know how many memories my body consciousness can retain. After three exercises, the body's sense of consciousness was successfully restored, and not only that, the stretching force was controlled more stably.
Stretching in yoga is not stretching of ligaments. Anatomically, ligaments connect bones and stabilize joints. Stretch the ligament at will, and the joint may be unstable after the ligament becomes loose. Many people think that physical rigidity is not suitable for practicing yoga, but it is not. Natural flexibility is not a talent for practicing yoga, and even an obstacle to some extent. The softer it is, the harder it is to find body consciousness. Because of our soft bodies, we can easily complete the asana in one step. Although enviable, this process has not had any impact on our hearts. I have a deep understanding of this, because the lateral thigh ligament is soft, I can easily complete cross-legged lotus sitting and pigeon pose, but it is difficult for me to find body consciousness in these poses. People with relatively soft bodies must slowly enter the posture, and use the body's consciousness to start the corresponding muscle groups to slowly enter the posture, instead of using soft ligaments in one step. If this happens, it will become dancing or acrobatics.
Stretching in yoga should be stretching with two opposite forces. The two forces come from the confrontation between two opposing forces, that is, up and down, one after the other, one left and one right. When two forces are equal, it will bring stability, and this stable force will be transformed into positive energy and injected into your body. Beginners often can't see one thing and another. Consciousness can only pay attention to the power in one direction, or the power can only be collected and not released. Muscle tightening is powerful, but if you can't relax, you can't stretch. If you can't stretch, you can't create inner space. This problem has made a breakthrough in my recent practice. I didn't expect a short break in practice during the Spring Festival to bring unexpected gains. Sometimes inaction is action. The body also needs free time. This is our life. Many people are anxious because the epidemic has lost contact with external activities, because most of us need external contact to prove our existence, but we are at a loss when we face ourselves quietly. But how to get along with ourselves and accept our own good and bad should be the direction of our efforts in this life.
There are many forms of strength confrontation in yoga (except Yin yoga), and finding the balance point of confrontation requires a strong sense. A person with such a strong sense can handle it calmly, even if she can't always feel the spring breeze. This kind of consciousness needs to be accumulated slowly, and it can't be done overnight. It can only be practiced over and over again, waiting for the flowers to bloom.
