To be comfortable, we must first adjust the bicycle to the most effective and comfortable riding size, and the rider needs to carry out a series of interrelated measurement and adjustment actions. But as long as one project is adjusted, more than ten other projects must be adjusted accordingly:
1. Increase the height of the seat cushion: the distance between the seat cushion and the handlebar will be lengthened (then adjusted). In order to maintain a comfortable sitting posture, the seat cushion position must be moved forward; If the seat cushion position cannot be moved forward, a smaller lifter must be replaced.
2. Adjust the bicycle frame: for example, install a longer or shorter crank, or raise or lower the handlebar height. Please start from the beginning and readjust one by one. After the size adjustment, you may not be used to it at first, but you should give it a proper cycle, such as riding 80 kilometers first, and the rider's body needs time to adapt to the new riding posture.
3. Check whether the frame size is appropriate and comfortable: the following methods can be used to check whether the frame size is correct, including the exposed length of the seat tube of competitive bicycle should be between 8.9- 12.7 cm when the height of the seat cushion is correct; The seat tube of the bicycle for leisure travel should be exposed by 7.6-10.2 cm; The exposed length of mountaineering saddle tube should be greater than15.2-20.3cm.. The distance from the crotch of competitive cyclists to the upper tube should be 2.5-5. 1 cm, 2.5 cm in touring bicycle and 7.6 cm or more in hybrid vehicles such as mountain bikes.
4. The height of the seat cushion affects the comfort: the rider multiplies the length of the inner leg (the length from the floor to the crotch when standing barefoot against the wall) by 0.885, and adds the thickness of the sole and the shoe card to calculate the correct seat cushion height for you. If your feet are slightly larger in height ratio, you should add 0.3 cm. The result is the distance from the bottom of the seat cushion to the five-way spindle. A more accurate measurement method is to stand barefoot against the wall and mark the rotation center of the upper femur as a straight line. Measure the distance between legs from the center of three rotations to the ground (accurate to the first decimal place), sum and average the results, and then multiply by 0.95. Then add the thickness of the sole and shoe card. The result obtained in this way is the linear distance from the center point of the seat cushion surface to the pedal circular hole.
5. Quick inspection: In addition to the above adjustment methods, riders can also use other inspection methods to check whether the height of the seat cushion is correct. First, sit on the cushion, put the sole of your foot on the pedal and step on it to the end. Your knees should be slightly bent. If your hips swing from side to side when you step on it, the cushion is too high. In addition, when the pedal is at the lowest point and the feet are completely straight, the ankle position should be lower than the pedal, and the distance between them should be 0.3 cm. If the sole has a traditional shoe clip, the distance can be 0.3-0.5 cm, and the pedal without toe clip should have a spacing of 0.5-0.8 cm.
6. Adjust the level of the seat cushion: keep the cranks at the front and rear ends of the seat cushion level, and hang a line from the knee to the pedal shaft. To keep the rhythm of high-speed pedaling, your knees should protrude in front of the thin line 1 cm. Step on it hard, with your knees behind the1-2cm line.
7. Adjustment of the inclination of the seat cushion: adjust the angle of the bolt pliers of the seat cushion and adjust the inclination of the seat cushion. The adjustment of the seat cushion is generally done with a wrench, and the fine adjustment is done with a 6 mm hexagon wrench. The cyclist first adjusts the seat cushion to a horizontal state. If he feels uncomfortable, he will lower the top of the seat cushion slightly. If the tip of the cushion leans down excessively, the arm and back will be injured; If it leans upward, the buttocks will feel pain sooner or later.
8. Pedal adjustment: When riding a bicycle, the widest part of the sole should be placed above the pedal shaft to ride a bicycle in the most comfortable and powerful way. Basically, the pedal is the platform you use when pushing the crank. If toe clips are used, make sure that there is at least 0.5 cm distance between toes and toe clips.
9. Adjustment of the shoe card: Adjust the shoe card to make it consistent with the natural rotation angle of the foot. Loosen the fixing bolt first, and let the shoe clamp rotate with the movement of the foot on the pedal. Ride in different positions and step on the pedal quickly. When the rider feels most comfortable, stop pedaling and loosen the toenail strap. Don't move the shoe card, lift it up and lock the bolt.
10. Adjustment of pedal tightness: Many pedals in Wuding's toe clamp have adjustment screws. If it is the first time for you to use a footstool without fixed toes, you should adjust the tightness of the footstool first, so that you can let go of your feet when you gently move your ankles. Compared with pedals and shoe cards with toe-fixing straps, using pedals without toe-fixing clips will make you feel more relaxed and safer. When you get used to this kind of trampling, you can adjust the trampling tightness more tightly.
1 1. Adjustment of the pedal of the card-type toeless device: Most of the pedal of the card-type toeless device can allow the foot to have 10 degree of twisting space, but the position of the shoe card should be adjusted by using the three steps of loosening, riding and buckling used in the above-mentioned card-type shoe card. Another person is needed to help tighten the fixing bolts, because one person can't remove the foot from the pedal without affecting the shoe's jamming.
12. Adjust the distance between the arm and the handlebar: After adjusting the seat cushion to the correct height, then adjust the distance between the arm and the handlebar, so that the rider's back and hips form a 45-degree angle, while keeping the arm slightly bent, which can increase the shock absorption effect. The distance between the arm and the handlebar can be adjusted by extending the length of the lifter. Because the vertical tubes of road vehicles (with handlebars bent downward) extend directly forward, it is easier to change the correct size. The situation of mountain bikes is different. Its vertical pipes extend upward and forward at the same time, and the handlebars are straight, and some of them are bent backward by about 12 degrees. The forms of handlebars vary widely, and experienced people are needed to convert the correct size. One solution is to temporarily use an algebraic adjustable riser or use a frame to adjust the machine.
13. Adjustment of handlebar horizontal height: fix the length of handlebar vertical tube so that the handlebar horizontal height is 2.5 ~ 7.6 cm lower than the height of cushion. When cyclists or cyclists with shorter arms or upper body relax, they will fit in a higher handlebar horizontal position.
14. Adjust the height of the riser: loosen the riser bolt, push the wooden stick on the riser, then knock it loose with a hammer and remove the riser. Before reinstalling the lifter, apply lubricating oil and lock the lifter bolts. At this time, the handlebar should be stable, but it can rotate freely when the body falls.
15. Pay attention to extending the safety limit of the riser: the length of the riser in the main pipe must be at least 6.3 cm. Most risers mark the safe extension limit. The length of riser dew, the distance from the center of riser bolt to the center of handlebar should be 5- 14 cm. Its safety limit is 12 cm.
16. Avoid back arching when the stretching lifter length is too short: if the stretching length is too short, the rider's back will arch, which will press the diaphragm and reduce the effect of aerobic exercise when riding. Attention: Hold the handlebar with both hands. When the elbow is parallel to the ground, the knee should overlap the elbow when the pedal reaches the highest point.
17. Too long stretch length: Too long stretch length will make the elbow inflexible and the back tight. You may want to lengthen it 1-2 cm before long. When you put your hand above the brake lever, the handlebar should block your view of the front wheel housing.
18. Adjustment of the bent handlebar: The depth of the bent part of the handlebar must depend on the size of your palm. 14 cm is considered as shallow depth, 14- 15 cm is considered as medium depth, and over 15 cm is considered as deep depth. The handlebar end should be horizontal on the ground, or the inclination should not exceed 10 degrees.
19. Measuring the size of the palm: To measure the size of the palm, first take a tube with the same diameter as the handlebar and make the palm like a fist. Put your hand on the table so that the pipe in your hand is vertical. Then measure the height of the hand. Less than 7 cm should use shallow depth, 7-8.9.
Medium depth is used for cm, and deeper depth is used for more than 8.9 cm.
20. Brake handle: When installing the brake handle of the bent handlebar, the end of the brake handle should be flush with the horizontal straight line at the end of the handlebar.
2 1. Adjust the brake lever: adjust the bolt in the brake frame seat. Press down the brake lever, and then adjust the bolt with a hexagon wrench.
23. Adjust the handlebar and handlebar width: the handlebar width is 5 1-58cm (2 1-24cm), which should be at least shoulder width. Wide handlebars can increase the control ability of the car when riding slowly; Narrow handlebars are suitable for competitions and city shuttle.
24. handlebar position: keep your wrist straight, indicating that the position of handlebar and brake lever is correct. The thumb, little finger and ring finger should be placed on the handlebar, and the middle finger and index finger should be kept on the brake lever.
25. Adjust the position of the brake lever: Most brake levers have adjusting bolts to adjust the position of the brake lever on the handlebar. Tighten the bolt to keep the brake lever fixed, but it can still move when it is hit.

I'll teach you a try method to make better use of yourself. .
I think the transmission has two aspects. . You have to fix one side first, don't change it. When riding a bike, you change the gears on the other side of the bike one by one. In this way, you will know which gear requires less effort to ride (remember, gears that require more effort ride faster).
You should know the gear on this side first, and then know the gear on the other side according to this method. . .
Coupled with more riding (also called test drive), you will be able to master gear shifting in about a day or two. . .
