Nanchong Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital was founded on 1979. After thirty-six years of efforts, it has developed into a "second-class" Chinese medicine hospital integrating medical treatment, preventive health care, teaching and research, and preparation production.

Among them, orthopedics is a provincial-level key specialty of Chinese medicine, acupuncture and anorectal departments are provincial-level key construction specialties of Chinese medicine, and the Chinese medicine preparation room is the Chinese medicine preparation capacity building department of the Provincial Administration of Chinese Medicine; Traumatic orthopedics, acupuncture and lung disease are key specialties of traditional Chinese medicine at the municipal level, and pediatric orthopedics is a famous subject at the district level; There are also three national-level project construction departments, including the service capacity building of "preventing diseases" of traditional Chinese medicine. At the same time, the hospital has 1 provincial TCM clinics and 4 municipal TCM clinics.
