According to the proof of scientists, about 200,000 years ago, with the arrival of the last Great Ice Age in geological history, the earliest mammoth appeared, and its footprints spread all over Europe, Asia and the northern part of North America. Mammoths have the richest fossil remains in Siberia, with about 25,000, of which 25 have not yet rotted. According to these rare data, we can roughly know that the mammoth is more than 6 meters long and 4 meters high, and the length of its big ivory on its mouth exceeds 1.5 meters. 1.5 meters, it is estimated that it weighed 5 ~ 7 tons when it was alive. On the remains that have not yet festered, people can also see that it is covered with dense brown fluff about 2.5 cm long and long coarse hair about 9 cm long, so it is also called "mammoth".
In the past, paleontologists believed that the time when mammoths disappeared from Europe, North America and most parts of Asia was 12000 years ago, and all mammoths were extinct before 9500 years. Many scientists believe that early human overfishing, environmental changes, diseases or natural disasters are the reasons for the extinction of mammoths. 1993, Russian scientists found 29 complete mammoth ivory and many mammoth bones and tooth fragments on the island of Vrangel in the Russian Arctic. The length of these mammoth ivory is shorter than that of ordinary mammoth ivory 1/4. It is inferred that this is a dwarf mammoth, about 1.8 meters high and weighing 2.4 tons. The results of carbon isotope determination show that these ivory and bones are relics of 4000 years ago. This kind of mammoth survived for 6000 years after the extinction of other kinds of mammoths until the latest era.
So we should enlarge our bright eyes to find things around us.
