Buddhism has a broad social foundation in Vietnam, and Buddhism also spreads its teachings through entertainment. Generally, a large-scale Buddhist ceremony is held at Buddha's birthday party. Among the dances performed in Buddhist ceremonies, the most famous ones are incense burning dance and worship dance. When dancing incense, the dancers first show cheerful emotions, and then hold the lit incense and sing "Hajj Song" while dancing, indicating people's piety to the gods and their desire to pray for their blessing. The action is simple and solemn, with a sense of ceremony. In addition, there are flower dances, teamo dances and gourmet dances.

Vietnam also inherited some ancient sacrificial dances in modern times. For example, in addition to some activities of offering sacrifices to Pan Wang, the Yao nationality in Vietnam also has a "dance festival", which is called "shock knife" by the ethnic group. Its purpose is to offer sacrifices to King Pan, train holy generals and Yin soldiers, and protect production and life at home.
