After decades of circulation, Changyang Bashan Dance has become a new type of folk dance, which is widely circulated in the Three Gorges area. Bashan dance performances can be seen in some scenic spots of Qingjiang River, Shennongxi and Three Gorges. At the same time, in some places, Bashan dance has become an important part of mass cultural activities. In 2008, the State Sports General Administration has promoted Bashan Dance as a national fitness dance to the whole country.
