Brief introduction of Baima people in Baima Tibetan dance
Baima Tibetan people belong to a branch of Tibetan people and live in the high mountains of Jiuzhaigou. White horse is an ancient Tibetan language, and Chinese means Tibetan soldier. One day in the 6th century A.D., the troops of the Tubo Dynasty and the troops of the Tang Dynasty met in Jiuzhaigou, and a fierce battle began. Finally, the battle ended in the victory of the Tubo Dynasty. Strangely, this victorious team did not follow the big army to move on, but stayed put. The whole Crusade ended, and most of the soldiers were recalled one after another, but this team did not receive any instructions to go home and was forgotten in this foreign land forever. This is a sad story for more than a thousand years. The shadow of hometown is gradually blurred in the tears of missing, and everything can only start again. They hid in the alpine forest and lived a secret life of half farming and half grazing. Time flies. In order to remember the special status of Tibetan soldiers forever, they gave themselves a new name, Baima. This is another team that has been loyal for more than 1000 years. Nowadays, the deep forest has become the most ideal home for Baima Tibetans, but their habit of singing or telling ancestral stories in ancient Tibetan has not changed.

The mountain behind each stockade of Baima Tibetans is a sacred mountain, and the trees growing on it are sacred trees. The status of these trees is supreme and absolutely inviolable. If anyone dares to cut down the trees here, they will not only be spurned by the whole village. The lifelike animal models carved on doors and windows are not simple decorations, but a belief with profound connotations. It is said that it has a lot to do with the animal worship of Baima Tibetans. For example, there are black bear tribe, monkey tribe, snake tribe, the biggest one is sheep tribe, and there are small tribes and families in the tribe. The name of an animal is the name of a tribe, which is a unique cultural phenomenon of Baima Tibetans. Every festival, after the tribes put on their symbolic masks, the song and dance performances of exorcism and blessing began. The locals call this dance "Twelve Phases Dance". In fact, it is not only a replica of the real living conditions of animals in the forest, but also a reflection of the harmonious coexistence between people and animals. In this atmosphere, the children unconsciously spent a wonderful childhood, and when they grew up, they got the message and became new members of the dancers.
