There are 6 doctors, 22 masters (10 foreign students) and 22 professors and associate professors. In addition, the college has long hired famous musicians and music educators at home and abroad as visiting professors or held concerts and lectures. The college has established the relationship of exchanging students and teachers with the Music School of the University of Missouri in the United States and the Tausengen Conservatory of Music in Germany.

In 2003, the Conservatory of Music obtained a master's degree in musicology, and now holds a master's degree in music and dance science and a master's degree in music. It has more than a dozen research directions, such as Chinese and foreign music history, ethnomusicology, composition, polyphony, music performance specialty and teaching, and has also formed its own characteristics and advantages in teaching and research.

Master's major direction: China music history (tutor: professor), foreign music history (tutor: Professor Qing Yu), ethnomusicology (tutor: professor), composition (polyphony, form analysis) (tutor: professor, Professor Kang Jiandong), piano (piano accompaniment) (tutor: associate professor, associate professor Su Yongsheng, Song, solfeggio (tutor) Associate Professor Park Chunyan, Associate Professor Wang Lina and Associate Professor Dong Wenhua), Violin (Tutor: Associate Professor Wang Lin, Professor Deng Liejia and Liu Jiaoshou), China National Dance Performance and Teaching (Tutor: Professor Zhang Linxian and Professor Zhang Qixia).

The college has music department (director: Dr. Wang Jingyi, professor), music education department (director: Associate Professor Wang Wenli, deputy director: Li Lintao), composition department (director: Dr. Zhang Xudong, professor), vocal music department (director: Associate Professor Wang Jingbin), orchestral department (director: Associate Professor Wang Lin), folk music department (director: Associate Professor Raymond) and keyboard. The college also attaches great importance to practical teaching. The college has music practice performance organizations such as student symphony orchestra, choir, national orchestra, chamber orchestra and dance team, aiming at consolidating theoretical teaching through practice and displaying teaching results through stage. In the course arrangement, the proportion of practical courses such as symphony orchestra ensemble class, folk music team class and chorus class has been increased. The college also improves students' artistic practice ability by focusing on training top students to participate in domestic and international competitions, holding concerts every week, and performing for music performance majors at the end of each semester.
