The Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine affiliated to Xinjiang Medical University was established in July 1959, 1. It is the only provincial-level general hospital of traditional Chinese medicine in Xinjiang, and also the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the R&D center of famous doctors and prescriptions in Xinjiang, the main base of medical treatment, teaching and scientific research of traditional Chinese medicine in the autonomous region and the leading unit of traditional Chinese medicine.

There are 877 employees in the hospital, including more than 780 professional technicians, 4 experts enjoying special state allowances, 3 high-quality experts from autonomous regions, 37 professional technicians with full senior titles, 63 professional technicians with associate senior titles, 278 professional technicians with intermediate titles and 304 technicians with primary titles. The hospital has internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology and dermatology.
