The Mid-Autumn Festival is coming, and the desert in the west should be very lively. Everything is still in that tone, slow, calm and introverted, a bit like my novel. All people, still on their own track, continue their lives, year after year, cycle after cycle. No matter how howling the voice outside, it is difficult to awaken the dream of the desert. I don't know. How long will this dream last? The desert has been silent for thousands of years, and it has become a deeply stubborn and lonely old monk. Stubborn in Solra for a long time, it is always difficult to arouse the ripples of wisdom. Breathe a few times occasionally, and soon, it is swept away by the hurricane of the years.
It is not only breathing but also pain that is swept away. Yes, it hurts. However, pain is better than numbness. In this great illusion, it must be a sober person who can feel the pain. Although there are many "pains" in my novels, careful readers can always read a powerful force from that kind of pain. If you want to break through the darkness before dawn, there will be pain. There is no sense of security without great pain. I've been looking for that magic prescription.
From "Sacrifice to the Desert", the pain began. You can see that it is a kind of helpless pain. In Hunting Plain, there is repentance, awakening, break and hope in pain. In Biography of the White Tiger, this kind of pain has been fermented, fermented. When it reached the limit of life, the painful soul was released, and crying was a bit heartbreaking. Everything is asking, where is the medicine to relieve pain? Who can cure the pain of a soul? Who can give answers and guidance?
In this way, in the three books, I wrote down the cup of bitter wine in the world of mortals.
So, why do humans suffer? I tell you, because there is death, because there is change, because nothing can last forever. This is the truth of life. Whether you understand it or not, what should come will come eventually, and what should go will not stay. The key is, how to face this fate? Later, I wrote the Soul trilogy (The Mantra of Xixia, The Canglang of Xixia, The Immortal Heart of King Kong) and the Hometown trilogy (Wild Fox Ridge, A Man's West, The Sound of Broad Beans in the Late Night). Perhaps many people can find a cure from it. But at the same time, if you want to really heal, you have to feel another kind of greater pain, that is, disillusionment and sublimation after breaking.
I have created hundreds of characters in the novel world. They are all alive, walking and showing their souls. From their stories, you can read my thoughts and wisdom. They are real and empty. In both fiction and fact, they are playing their own destiny. All stories are life and death; Extinction, rebirth, birth and extinction have been played for thousands of years. Occasionally write it down and fix it. There are only two words: understand.
For this understanding, I always break, stand, walk and look for it in reality and emptiness. Searching is my eternal course. Understand the previous search, for your own understanding; And the search after understanding is to let more people know. So my works are always endless, continuous, long and long, always spewing out like a volcano.
Breaking is also rustling, standing is also rustling, and everything is telling the old story. Someone once said that Xue Mo couldn't make up stories. Yes, Xue Mo can't make up stories, but he knows that there are countless wonderful stories in real life, and there is no need to make them up. It has always existed between heaven and earth. You, I and he are both people in the story, and our lives are all telling our own stories.
From 1989, to the first edition of desert sacrifice in 2000, and then to the first edition of Baihuguan in 2008. I have written the Desert Trilogy for twenty years. In 2009, while lamenting the vicissitudes of life, I bid farewell to the closed door and entered a new world. I come from Liangzhou and live in Lingnan. Come from Lingnan and settle in Yishan. I don't want to die of old age in the desert. I want to come out, see the world and go for a ride. I know that there is still a long way to go in fate.
Some people say that I have two things that others rarely see. What is this? Love and hope. I am an idealist, and I believe in the eternity of hope. I'm a bit like the earth. It looks calm on the surface, but the magma in the depths is surging. That is hope and love. That kind of vitality will always burst out and become a magnificent volcano.
Of course, I have been on a pilgrimage all my life. In Yue Bai, I always looked like a fox. From Desert Sacrifice to Hunting Garden, to White Tiger Pass, and recently to Yehuling, these are the footnotes left by my pilgrimage. Although I met with difficulties, I still came all the way.
Therefore, my reading, writing, meditation, speaking, visiting and communicating are all my The Way, and my purpose is to conquer myself, eliminate the animality, tend to divinity and make myself a real person.

In the "Desert Trilogy", I also wrote the western culture in my eyes.
This culture has two characteristics: one is caring for the present, and the other is ultimate transcendence.
For the former, it is embodied in Sacrifice to the Desert, Hunting the Plain and White Tiger Pass. As for the latter, it is embodied in the Xixia Mantra, the surging waves of Xixia, The Immortal Heart of King Kong, A Man's West, Wild Fox Ridge and The Sound of Broad Beans in the Late Night, which constitute a whole and are presented to the world in the form of literature. In addition, my series of "Bright Handprints" shows what ultimate transcendence is in the form of culture.
Of course, I also want to freeze an era. When I wrote the Desert Trilogy, I made a commandment: don't cater to, don't follow the trend, don't follow the trend, and don't pursue fashion. I demand that every work is a world, different. My creation is not a formal imitation, but a spiritual transcendence. Spiritual transcendence can be directed at people's hearts.
Once, a reporter said, Xue Mo, there is something wrong with the Liangzhou dialect in your desert sacrifice. I said, right, I'll decide later. Because after this crop of people died, no one knew whether it was right or not.
The writer's works are the product of the writer's mind. It doesn't matter what the world is like. Just like Count Joan in the heart of the immortal King Kong, it doesn't matter who he is, but he is such a person in Xue Mo's eyes, and in another person's heart, he may be another person. The same person, different writers, interpreted different understandings of the world; And different understanding constitutes different values; That different values determine the writer's different right to speak. Some are immortal, and some are short-lived. Only when works become culture can what writers write affect the world.

I always say that I write because of love.
Love is an eternal topic of human beings, and there are endless words. In the Desert Trilogy, I wrote about the most beautiful secular love in the world. Lingguan and Yinger, Mencius and Yueer all touched the readers with their love. This is a little love. Although beautiful and desirable, it will soon disappear. As soon as conditions change, they will never change. In the trilogy of soul, I wrote a kind of great love, which is the love of faith and beyond the body itself. Joan and Xueyuer, black singer and Zi Xiao, Joan Bojue and scottie ... their love has a kind of beauty. Great love is the unity of wisdom and compassion. Little love is fleeting, but great love is relatively eternal; Little love is personal experience, and great love is the nourishment of the soul. This kind of great love is what I yearn for all my life.
Because of great love, the spiritual function that left became Joan, a black singer, Joan Bojue and Ma Zaibo, because he achieved transcendence. The "Desert Trilogy" originated from great love. I turn my love into words, actions and thoughts. When facing this world, I always have a deep love, so I have a reason to write.
Love is a kind of light. I've always wanted to share that light and illuminate those who are destined. I want to be a firefly at dawn and a torch at dawn. As long as there is light, there is hope. When I become a torch, I will light another torch, or light a bonfire, that is my book or my friends who work with me. Our life, we roam in the boundless darkness, we don't know where we come from and where we will die, but as long as we see the fire, we can feel warmth and hope.
The Desert Trilogy is my favorite genre.
