Don't worry about insomnia
I've always wanted to write something about insomnia. Because of my procrastination, I didn't start writing until last night. At that time, my long-time bosom friend also suffered from insomnia, which prompted me to get up early in the morning to write this long story, hoping to help more people sleep healthily.

Chinese medicine calls insomnia "insomnia", and the main reason is yin-yang imbalance. Midnight is a meeting of Yin and Yang, so don't stay up late. Be sure to go to bed before 23 o'clock, otherwise it will lead to imbalance between Yin and Yang. Health care begins with going to bed early and not staying up late.

Insomnia is a trivial matter, but it does great harm to people, both physically and mentally. It will not only reduce people's immunity, but also induce headaches, hypertension, heart disease, hyperlipidemia, Alzheimer's disease and other diseases; It can also make people feel groggy, dizzy, forgetful, listless, bored, nervous and irritable all day … but it doesn't matter, insomnia can be cured, so friends don't have to worry about insomnia.

Insomnia is one of the most common health problems of modern people. How does classical Chinese medicine understand insomnia? Taoism believes that "man" is divided into two parts: the body of nature and the body of life. The body of nature includes innate essence, qi and spirit, and the body of life includes acquired blood, flesh, bone and acquired consciousness. Diseases are at different levels and need different treatment methods. Insomnia is a disease at the human level.

In Huangdi Neijing, human's five qi are called "five gods", and there are five kinds of "gods" hidden in human's five qi, specifically: the heart hides the spirit, the liver hides the soul, the spleen hides the meaning, the lung hides the spirit and the kidney hides the will. If these five gods can live and work in peace and contentment in the body, people will be very energetic during the day and fall asleep easily at night. If the five gods are uneasy and abnormal, people will lose sleep.

Staying up late, worrying too much or working, bad emotional stimulation and other reasons will cause five gods to be uneasy and lead to insomnia.

Treating insomnia in TCM is to adjust the mind and let the five gods live and work in the body, so that the problem of insomnia can be solved.

First, the irregularity of life

Many people live irregularly in modern times, which may cause short-term insomnia. Long-distance flight by plane, the change of time difference will also make the sleep rhythm disorder, leading to insomnia. Some people can't sleep during the day after working overtime and staying up late, and it takes a long time to get used to it. One of the main reasons is that the personal biological clock is out of step with the pace of life.

Second, psychological factors.

People who are impatient or prone to mood swings are more likely to lose sleep, and there are many such situations. Acute or chronic anxiety and sadness, some problems to be considered before going to bed, people who can't let go, and people who are often worried about not being able to sleep are also the biggest obstacles to falling asleep. Others are afraid of nightmares, darkness, and staying awake. Any reason will cause excessive tension before going to bed and hinder sleep.

Third, the problem of disease.

Patients with various diseases, the torture of the disease makes them unable to sleep normally, which hinders their sleep. For example, epigastric pain caused by duodenal ulcer often wakes patients up in the middle of the night because of hunger attacks. Angina pectoris is also caused by insufficient blood supply to their hearts every time they sleep. Postural dyspnea in heart failure will make patients unable to lie flat and fall asleep. ...

My habit is to press Taichong point first to soothe the liver and relieve depression. Taichong point is a point that can make people feel happy, and my mood will relax and insomnia will gradually ease. The acupoints of insomnia are Shenmen, Gu Ran, Shenmai and Zhao Hai.

Shenmen is the original point of the heart meridian (Shu point), and some medical predecessors believe that the main symptom of insomnia lies in the heart. The name of Shenmen cave refers to the entrance of God. As I said before, insomnia is caused by the disorder of God's entry and exit in the human body, so using Shenmen as acupoint can regulate the mind and treat insomnia.

Gu Ran is the acupoint of kidney meridian and heart meridian? The five elements belong to fire, and the five elements of kidney belong to water. Among them, the fire of the dragon thunder is hidden, and the fire of the dragon thunder cannot be hidden in the kidney, so the yang does not enter the yin, disturbing the mind and insomnia, that is, the so-called heart and kidney do not pay. Acupuncture at Gu Ran can subdue the fire of dragon thunder in the kidney.

According to the sea and the divine pulse are the acupoints of Yinqiao pulse and Yangqiao pulse respectively. These two acupoints are responsible for opening eyes and closing eyes, falling asleep and waking up respectively. A group of four acupoints can treat insomnia well.

Clinically, the predecessors of traditional Chinese medicine like to use Neiguan point and Daling point with Shenmen for treatment. Neiguan and Daling are both acupoints of pericardium meridian, which form an "iron triangle" with Shenmen point to treat insomnia. Taoist doctors often use the number "three" in clinic, because "three" is a rising basic number in China culture, and Taoism says "three lives and three generations" and "three talents in heaven and earth", so I will add the energy of "number" to the treatment. Moreover, I like to advise patients to moxibustion Laogong point and Yongquan point at the same time, so that the heart and kidney can intersect.

Baihui and Sishencong are also commonly used acupoints to recuperate insomnia. Baihui can treat all kinds of mental diseases, including insomnia, by crossing the meridians and collaterals and penetrating the heart. Sishencong, located around Baihui, is a strange point outside the meridians and can cooperate with Baihui's treatment. In addition, Sishencong also has the functions of refreshing the brain and improving intelligence.

The above are general acupoints, which are suitable for all insomnia patients. There are also Chinese medicine predecessors who often use the five "Shen points" on the bladder meridian. These five points need dialectical use. If the syndrome differentiation is accurate, the effect will be good. Liushen points are Soul House, Shentang, Soul Gate, Yishe and Fructus Aurantii Immaturus, which correspond to lung, heart, liver, spleen and kidney respectively, and sometimes Yanggang point is added to correspond to gallbladder meridian. The specific types of insomnia are heart-kidney disharmony, heart-spleen deficiency, wood fire gold (liver and lung), gallbladder fire, etc., which need to be further treated according to syndrome differentiation, and the corresponding acupoints should be selected for syndrome differentiation and treatment.

Insomnia caused by emotional illness is difficult to treat. This kind of patients must combine psychological counseling, acupuncture and drugs to regulate their "spirit" in order to cure insomnia.

Some friends often need to work overtime until two o'clock in the morning and then sleep late in the morning. After a long time, it is easy to lose sleep. Lying in bed every night, I keep my eyes open until dawn. Later, I could only rely on sleeping pills to help me sleep.

In this case, it is suggested that Youyou might as well sleep for 7 hours every day, sleep at night 10, get up at 5 am, and then try to make up some sleep at noon.

If you can't sleep with the method of "meridian sleep", then use the method of "thinking in circles" together.

1. Let the limbs stretch into a "big" word and lie on the bed, completely relaxing the whole body, including muscles and spirit;

2. Close your eyes, focus your thoughts on the Tang Yin point in Yumei's heart, and meditate (that is, thoughts and thoughts) "My head is heavy and completely relaxed" in your heart, so that you can experience the feeling after relaxation.

3. In the same posture, after a few seconds, pay attention to turning your mind to your right hand, and then say, "My right hand is heavy and completely relaxed";

4. Let your mind go to your right foot and say, "My right foot is heavy and completely relaxed";

5. Then turn your mind to the right and say "My left foot is heavy and completely relaxed", and then "My left hand is heavy and completely relaxed";

6. After turning around, go back to your head and start over.

By doing this spiritual guidance, you are telling everyone in your body: I'm going to sleep. Many friends tried it and fell asleep within three laps. For most people, turn from the head to the right hand. If you are left-handed, you must turn from your left hand.

This method seems simple, but the effect is amazing. The root cause of insomnia is stiffness, nervousness and inability to relax. Some people take sleeping pills as soon as they lose sleep. When they wake up the next day, they often feel weak, which shows that the role of sleeping pills is to relax your muscles and nerves. The use of "psychological circle" can make you relax in the shortest time. When you lie in a "big" shape, your nerves and muscles stretch the largest area, which is most conducive to your whole body relaxation.

"Thinking in circles" can not only cure insomnia, but also help to eliminate the hidden dangers of high blood pressure and heart disease, and negative emotions such as depression, anxiety and boredom will also disappear. Of course, it would be better if we could cooperate with each other.

There is a hot spot in the palm. Rubbing hands can make a fire and tonify yang. There are cool points in the heart of the foot, and rubbing the heart of the foot can nourish yin and replenish water.

Rubbing the soles of your feet with hot palms can blend fire and water and balance yin and yang. Many people's insomnia is so "rubbed".

1, Palm-Husband

The acupoints on the palm are called Laogong points. When making a fist, the place below the middle finger is, here is the acupoint of pericardium meridian, which is hot.

There is an idiom called "rubbing your hands", which generally describes that people are eager to try before fighting or working. Generally speaking, these attempts need to fully mobilize the yang of the human body, so they will rub this hot point on their hands.

Many Chinese medicine massages will use Laogong point, such as rubbing hands and pressing them on the waist, abdomen, eyes and other parts, hoping to use the heat of Laogong point to warm the weak and tired parts of the body.

The acupoint on the foot is called Yongquan, which is the well point of the kidney meridian. The so-called well point means that the kidney meridian starts here. The nature of kidney meridian is opposite to pericardium meridian. Kidney meridian belongs to water, which is cool in nature, and its well points also have the same properties, which can nourish yin and replenish water.

Some people's eyes are always red and swollen, but massaging the soles of their feet will be a good relief. The reason for this effect is that this man's fire is a virtual fire. The appearance of virtual fire is because there is less water, so it is necessary to replenish water to reduce fire. Massage Yongquan is equivalent to replenishing water to the body.

Some people's hearts are full of fire, and there are many symptoms such as upset, insomnia and dreaminess. Pay attention to nourishing the heart yin while removing fire. In addition to taking drugs, you can rub your palms first, and then rub your feet with your hot palms.

This method can make the heart and kidney intersect, so that the heart fire floating on the kidney will be reduced by kidney water. Traditional Chinese medicine calls it "bringing fire back to the yuan", and it will be effective if you rub it for about 5- 10 minutes before going to bed every day, and stick to it for a few days.

In addition, people who suffer from insomnia often wake up in the middle of the night and can rub the thenar of their hands-this has a good relief effect on early awakening, and many people will fall asleep unconsciously during the massage.

Chinese medicine believes that early awakening is generally caused by lung fire. Especially those who often wake up around three in the morning, most of them are full of heart and lung fire.

Both the heart and lungs pass through the thenar, so rubbing the thenar often helps to "put out" the fire of the heart and lungs.

The method of rubbing thenar is very simple, as long as the thenar of the two palms is opposite, one hand is fixed and the other hand is rotated, so that the thenar of the two palms is rubbed relatively. After rubbing for about 2~3 minutes, the whole palm will be hot, but it will not take effect until the thenar has no pain.
