Health care products are things that people love and hate, especially the elderly, who always have high hopes for them, but often end up disappointed. There are some reasons such as irresponsible exaggeration of publicity by businesses, and some are the results that ordinary people can't objectively understand.

Recently, Health Times conducted an overall health care survey on netizens in China, focusing on people's awareness of health care, health care products and health care information dissemination channels.

Investigation Consultant: Wu Dazhen, Vice President of china health care association.

Huang Jianshi, professor of epidemiology, Peking Union Medical College.

Number of people surveyed: 427 18.

Investigation time: 1 month. Analysis of survey results: five adults choose.

Wrong green sign

There are many kinds of health food, so it is very important to distinguish the safety of health food. Learning to read the graphic signs of health food is the minimum common sense.

The survey results show that 25.84% people choose the blue sign, while 48.78% people choose the green sign. When asked which national agency is approving health food, nearly 70% netizens can give the correct answer, and 3 1.34% netizens don't know, so they made the wrong choice.

Experts explained that only 25.84% people choose the blue sign, which shows that everyone's ability to identify qualified health food is not high. All foods that claim to have health care functions must be examined and approved by the relevant departments, and health food approval certificates shall be issued to those that pass the examination; There is a national health food logo on the outer packaging, which is called "light blue cow head logo" in the industry, which is the most basic condition to determine whether a health food is qualified and safe.

In addition, it depends on the ingredient label and instructions. Some unqualified health foods, because it is illegal to forge blue labels, are labeled with other colors, among which green is the most commonly used, which makes use of people's pursuit of green health. 48.78% people choose the green sign, which is influenced by such psychology.

Eight adults mistakenly believe that health care products have side effects.

More than 80% consumers think that health care products have side effects, of which 16.83% think that most health care products have side effects, and 60.5% think that some health care products have side effects. There are 15.89% consumers who think that health care products have no side effects. 6.36% of consumers expressed uncertainty.

Experts explained that it is completely wrong to say that health food has side effects. It's just that drugs have some side effects, and these side effects are still produced under the premise of physical restrictions or medication errors. Health food is a kind of food at first, and has no side effects. As food, firstly, it is safe, and secondly, it has some auxiliary functions. It can be said that as long as it is a formal health food approved by the state, it will not have side effects when eaten under normal circumstances, and most consumers are still worried.

Most consumers support domestic health care products.

Internet users tend to choose health care products obviously. 47.72% netizens admire domestic brands, 10.07% netizens use foreign brands, and the proportion of people who use both is 30.83%, while 1 1.38% netizens do not use health care products.

Experts explained that it is correct to buy health care products to support domestic products.

Taking health food as an example, domestic health food can obtain the relevant approval number before purchasing, which is very intuitive. There are not many imported health foods that can get formal brand names, and many of them are imported through illegal channels, which is not guaranteed.

The calorie of health food is higher than that of health equipment.

At present, there are three kinds of health care products on the market: health food, health care products and health care devices. Health food refers to foods that claim to have specific health care functions or are aimed at supplementing vitamins and minerals; Health products are mainly health daily necessities, such as health toothpaste, health toothbrush, health underwear, health pillow, etc. Health care devices refer to medical devices with the functions of prevention, diagnosis and treatment, such as sphygmomanometer, blood glucose meter and massager.

67.65% of the respondents favor health food, more than 50% of the respondents are interested in health products, and the popularity of health devices is 34.36%.

Expert explanation: Market reflection can basically reflect objective reality. At present, the health food industry system is more perfect, the examination and approval is stricter, and the products are safer and more reliable. However, there are also some health care devices, and the market situation is more complicated. Health care equipment does not belong to medical equipment, but it has some characteristics of medical equipment. Therefore, it is difficult to define specific standards, and it is impossible to have clear indicators for quantitative evaluation like health food. Therefore, the safety factor is slightly lower, and consumers can also feel this, so the recognition of health care devices is low. Formulating the standards of health care devices is the next step for relevant regulatory authorities.

Consumers prefer health product advertisements on TV to radio.

The credibility of health care product advertisements has a great relationship with the mode of communication. The advertisements of health products released through TV media have the highest credibility, reaching 35.24%; The credibility of newspapers and periodicals is14.49%; The broadcast credibility is low, accounting for only 3.44%. In the survey, 32.35% of the respondents thought that the above media could not be trusted.

Experts explain that ordinary people like tangible results, and TV media has advantages in this respect and is easily recognized. Interestingly, 32.35% of the respondents think that none of the above media can be trusted.

On the one hand, it reflects the excessive publicity of health care products advertisements in China at present, and on the other hand, it shows that in order to improve the credibility of health care products, it is fundamental to improve the quality of health care products in addition to choosing appropriate communication methods.

10% of consumers can identify false propaganda.

Do consumers know which advertisements for health products are illegal? 12.33% of the respondents are clear, 20.2 1% are completely unclear, and more people are between clear and unclear.

Experts explain that identifying false propaganda is an important weapon for consumers to protect themselves from deception. There are some basic criteria for identifying illegal advertisements:

First, it operates in the name of health food without the approval of the Ministry of Health;

Second, the names, labels and instructions of health food are not used in accordance with the approved contents, and some illegally publicize the curative effect. The words "relieving symptoms" and "suitable for diseases" are printed on the label or instruction; There are also random propaganda effects, boasting that it can "nourish yin and strengthen yang, regulate qi and blood" and so on;

Third, the application for certificates is not uniform, and some business units have not asked for copies of health food approval certificates and product inspection certificates.

In addition, the following acts are illegal: using the names of medical research units, doctors and patients as proof; There are unscientific assertions and guarantees such as cure rate and effective rate; There are illegal propaganda contents such as prize sales and gifts; Illegally publishing advertisements for drugs to treat tumors, etc. Other survey results: For health care, 68. 1 1% consumers think that "daily health care" is the best way to ensure health, 23.46% consumers choose "treating diseases" and 8.43% consumers choose "regular physical examination".

In terms of consumption, 59.46% of people spend around 200 yuan on health products every month. 15.86% of consumers spend 200 ~ 500 yuan, and the proportion of consumers who spend 500 ~ 1000 yuan and 1000 yuan is 5.44% and 0.52% respectively.

In terms of health knowledge accumulation, 36.03% of consumers will accumulate health knowledge by reading health books, newspapers, web pages or programs regularly, 49. 18% of consumers will pay attention occasionally, 12.99% of consumers will inquire about relevant information when they have health needs, and only 1.80% of consumers have never paid attention.

In terms of enthusiasm for participating in health education and training, 49.36% of consumers said that they would go as long as it was beneficial, 45.38% of consumers hesitated, and 5.26% of consumers thought that health education was unnecessary.

Market recognition: 3 1.65% consumers think that the health care products market is very chaotic, 54.5 1% consumers think that it has been slightly improved, 13.63% consumers think that it has been greatly improved, and 0.2 1% consumers think that it has been very standardized.
