The six books of the Qing Dynasty were also managed by university students, and the six books of ministers were also managed by Manchu and Han. When they were in office, they sat on both sides of the lobby. If one of the ministers is a college student, they will sit in the middle, so the name "Middle Temple" comes from this. In addition to cabinet college students, the co-organizers also used this title, and nave gradually became a kind of honorific title for college students.
However, the name of the main hall is just an empty name to show respect for officials, which does not mean that it has actual rights. During the reign of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty, the decision-making power was in the South Study Room, and several ministers were sent to the South Study Room to participate in government affairs, but they were not formal institutions.
The development of history
During the Yongzheng period, the military department was established, with about three to six officials, which became the center of the imperial regime. Basically, all imperial edicts were issued from here, but the official imperial edicts were issued from the Cabinet, so the Cabinet was still a nominally prime minister institution.
As mentioned earlier, Xiao Shenyang was called the main hall because he was a college student of Wuyingtang, and later he was promoted to a college student of Wenhua Hall, which was a particularly distinguished rank at that time, so it is understandable to be called the "main hall". In addition, he was actually in charge of the economic, political and military power of the Qing dynasty for decades, ranking above officials and always enjoying the courtesy of the prime minister when visiting.
