Hechi university is a full-time undergraduate school approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2003. The school was founded in 195 1 as Yishan Normal School in Guangxi Province. It has gone through the stages of running schools such as Guangxi Yishan Normal School, Liuzhou Normal College, Guangxi Hechi Yishan Normal School (later renamed Guangxi Yizhou Normal School for Nationalities) and Hechi Normal College. In April 2003, Hechi University was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education, which has a history of nearly 70 years.
