Wang Qi, a native of Gaoyou, Jiangsu Province, 1943, is a famous health expert, the founder of TCM physiology, a professor at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, a doctoral supervisor, an outstanding expert enjoying special allowance from the State Council, and one of the famous old Chinese medicine practitioners selected by the Ministry of Personnel, the Ministry of Health and state administration of traditional chinese medicine. He has worked in many areas of China (Beijing, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Henan, Hebei, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Yunnan, Hongkong and other places). The speaker of "Yangshengtang" of Beijing TV Station has given lectures in the United States, Britain, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Belgium, Sri Lanka and other countries for many times.

Professor Wang Qi's TCM constitution keeping in good health has been widely concerned by international academic circles. His monograph "Physiology of Traditional Chinese Medicine" was translated into Japanese and published in Korean. A group of western scholars, such as Harvard University and Cornell University, pointed out: "Chinese medicine physique initiated by Professor Wang Qi of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine is an important part of life science ... which can be used to intervene, prevent and treat diseases, which will benefit global public health." Because of his outstanding achievements in health care, Professor Wang Qi became the editor-in-chief of 5 million copies of "Guide to Health Care of Traditional Chinese Medicine for Capital Citizens" for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
