Changyang Village, wen county City, Henan Province

Chen Jia Tai Ji Chuan is the root of Tai Ji Chuan and the mother of Tai Ji Chuan.

There are still different opinions about the origin of Chen Jia and Tai Ji Chuan. Now it is clear that the Chen family in wen county, Henan Province has also practiced Tai Ji Chuan since ancient times.

A traditional China Tai Ji Chuan (Tai Ji Chuan)

The name Extreme Boxing was named by later generations because of the endless changes in boxing methods, and it was explained by China's ancient philosophical theories of "Yin and Yang" and "Taiji". The Taiji legend handed down by Chen was divided into several tribes in later generations. In order to distinguish it from other schools in Tai Ji Chuan, it is called "Chen Tai Ji Chuan", sometimes called "Chen", "Pai Cheng" and "Chen style".

The Chen family is not from Henan, but moved from Shanxi to Henan. Chen Jifu, the 18th Chen, said in the preface of his book "The General Introduction of Chen Taiji Biography": The Chen family moved from Dahuaishu Village in Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to Changyang Village in wen county, Henan Province in the seventh year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty (1374). Later, the family multiplied and renamed this place "Chenjiagou".

Chenjiagou, also known as Chengou, took Chenbu as the first generation after moving.

In order to prevent bandits from defending themselves, the Chen family who moved to Henan practiced martial arts very early. After entering Qing Dynasty, Wu Yong was appointed as the bodyguard of Shandong Province, and later generations were re-elected, that is, from Chen of the ninth generation to Chen Fake of the seventeenth generation.

During this period, the Taiping Rebellion rose in the last years of Daoguang in Qing Dynasty (1850), in which Chen Li, the fifteenth generation of Chen, made great contributions, and the young people of Chen adhered to the village as one. These things are recorded in local chronicles such as Wenxian County Records, Zhongzhou Sages Biography and Huaiqing Mansion Records.

According to "Scented Shield Nose", even a girl named Chen, who was 17 years old, knew how to use a gun during Daoguang period, which shows that Chenjiagou practiced martial arts very well.

There are different opinions about when Chenjiagou began to practice Tai Ji Chuan. The powerful argument was founded by Chen, the ninth generation of Chenjiagou, but according to historical records, it was founded by Chen Changxing, the fourteenth generation (177 1- 1853).

In Chen Changxing generation, Chen Youheng and Chen Youben, two people of the same ancestry, developed old routines and created new routines, so the old routine was called "old posture" and the new routine was called "new posture".

Soon, he learned a new move of Chen Qingping from Chen Youben, and created a new routine, which was called "Zhao Bao Style" by Chen Qingping.

Chen Changxing's "Old Tattoo" was passed on to his son, Chen Gengyun passed on to his son, and Michelle Chen passed on to his son Chen Fake (1887- 1957), and he taught boxing openly in Beijing.

Chen Youben's "new posture" was passed on to his nephew Chen (1809- 187 1), and then widely passed on to his children.
