Pan 'an Dapanshan Nature Reserve was recently approved as a national nature reserve by the State Council. This is the only national nature reserve with wild medicinal plant resources as the protection object in China so far. The total area of Dapanshan Nature Reserve is 45.58 square kilometers, and the elevation of Dapanshan, the main peak, is 1245 meters. The special climate and environmental conditions there have become an ideal place for the growth of medicinal plants. There are 9 species of wild medicinal plants 12 19 in this area, among which 258 species are listed in China People's Pharmacopoeia, accounting for about half of the total medicinal plants in the Pharmacopoeia. Rare and endangered medicinal plants include Dendrobium, Notoginseng Radix, Eupatorium adenophorum, Sargentodoxa, Ganoderma, etc. The important wild medicinal plants are Corydalis yanhusuo, Atractylodes macrocephala, Polygonatum odoratum, Pseudostellaria heterophylla, Scrophularia etc. The most distinctive species is wild corydalis, but many botanists have searched the north and south of the river, but there are patches of growth on the sunny hillside of Panda Mountain at an altitude of more than 900 meters.
