Beijing University of Chinese Medicine is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), featuring Chinese medicine, and one of the key construction units of the national "21KLOC-0/Project" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform".
Through the selection of "11plan", it is jointly built by the Ministry of Education, the National Health and Family Planning Commission, state administration of traditional chinese medicine and Beijing. The school was founded in 1956, formerly known as Beijing College of Chinese Medicine, and is one of the institutions of higher learning of Chinese medicine established in New China.
