According to the pressurized medium, there are two kinds of medical hyperbaric oxygen chambers:
1. Pure oxygen chamber: pressurize with pure oxygen. After the pressure is stabilized, the patient will breathe the oxygen in the chamber directly. Advantages: small size, low price, easy transportation, very popular with small and medium-sized hospitals. Disadvantages: the pressurized medium is oxygen, which is easy to cause fire. Chemical fiber fabrics must not enter the cabin, and the crew must wear cotton-padded jacket to enter the cabin. The combustion accidents of oxygen cabin at home and abroad mostly occur in this cabin type; Only one patient is allowed to enter the cabin for treatment at a time, and some patients may have claustrophobia; Medical personnel are generally not allowed to enter the engine room. Once the situation occurs in the cabin, it is difficult to deal with it in time, which is not conducive to the treatment of critically ill and unstable patients.
2. Air compression chamber: pressurized with air. After stabilizing the pressure, according to the condition, the patient passes through the mask and oxygen tent until artificial respiration takes oxygen. Advantages: safety; Large volume, which can accommodate multiple patients into the cabin for treatment at the same time, and the treatment environment is relatively relaxed; Allowing medical staff to enter the engine room is conducive to treating critically ill patients and patients with unstable conditions; If necessary, the operation can be carried out in the cabin. Disadvantages: large size, inconvenient transportation and expensive price.
3. In addition to hyperbaric oxygen chamber, hyperbaric oxygen therapy equipment also includes air compressor for generating compressed air, air storage tank for storing compressed air, air conditioning system, monitoring equipment, intercom equipment, console, etc.
