On the sixth chapter of Tao Te Ching: Immortality of Valley God.
The immortal is called Xuanzang. The gate of Xuanzang is the root of heaven and earth. If it is continuous, it is not often used.

This chapter describes the relationship between human mind (spirit) and Tao in a few short sentences. Hit the nail on the head, wonderful.

The immortal is called Xuanzang.

Gu Shen: human spirit (also called mind, Buddha nature, knowledge, ability and soul), Tao and infinity.

Xuanzang: Xuanzang refers to the mother, and Xuanzang is the mysterious mother.

The human spirit (Buddha nature, soul) is the real life, the reality of life, and the total energy of all physical movements, breathing, pranayama and thinking activities. Spirit is also called true qi. "Three-inch Qi uses every possible means. Once it is impermanent, everything will stop", that is to say, the true qi of people and the spirit of people. When the spirit is there, we make people live, and when the spirit is not there, we make people die. The human body is equivalent to a mobile house, and what lives in it is the real life of human beings. A person's body has a time limit of 100 years, but a person's spirit is eternal, which is called "King Kong is not bad for the body" by Buddhists, also called "Dharma Body". "Avalokitesvara is at ease" in Heart Sutra refers to human spirit. Freedom, already there, has nowhere to go.

The matter invented and created by all people in the world is first created by the human spirit. Only when there is consciousness modeling in the brain can it be realized through the human body. For example, if you want to design a car model, do you have to have a car model in your mind and draw your thoughts on paper or computer before you can make a real thing? This is also out of thin air, isn't it just like Tao repairing everything? Make something out of nothing. Therefore, the Tao and the spirit are compared to the mother. This matrix is different from other matrices we usually talk about. It is the mother of all things and eternal. In the first chapter of Tao Te Ching, it is said that "the Xuan is the Xuan door", so the spirit and Tao are called Xuan Zang here.

Then the meaning of this sentence is clear: the human spirit will not die with the body, it is eternal and mysterious.

The gate of Xuanzang is the root of heaven and earth.

The root of heaven and earth: the root of heaven and earth, that is, Tao, infinity.

Explain the whole sentence:

The spiritual source (Xuanzang) is also the root of heaven and earth, and it exists with heaven and earth.

The human spirit, in the sky, calls for life and endows people with nature. The Doctrine of the Mean is about "the nature of destiny". The infinite is different, and the human spirit is Wan Li. The relationship between infinite Tao (the root of heaven and earth) and human spirit is just like the relationship between the sea and a drop of water in the sea, so human spirit is a small infinite, and human body is a small universe. This will further understand the viewpoint that Laozi has always advocated, that is, keeping the road, passing by, and doing nothing.

If it is continuous, it is not often used.

This sentence describes the human spirit (small infinity) and is illusory (invisible and intangible). If there is anything, it will be used every day. People are not a temporary spirit of employing people. Do they ever run out? If you are a writer, do you know how many works you have there? If you are a fashion designer, do you know how many styles of clothes you have there? As long as there is creation, even you don't know how much. People's eyes, ears, nose, tongue, thinking activities, body movements and breathing are all functions of the spirit. Spirit is the essence of eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and heart, and it is the total energy. This energy is infinite and will never be used up.
