Chiang Mai was once the capital of Lanna Kingdom, which means endless paddy fields. Therefore, the roof of the building combines the shape of rice fields and has a terrace in Lanner style. Office, library, multi-function hall and other functional spaces are all covered under the same roof, arranged in the order from low to high and from front to back, forming a "terrace" leading to the roof pavilion.

Palm trees, banana trees and bamboo are planted around the building, which are common in paddy fields. There is a corridor at the main entrance. As a symbol of Chiang Mai, it will bloom orange flowers to welcome guests in the cool season. The main entrance is located on the roadside and embedded in the slope, forming a quiet space far away from expressway.
The center of the building is a courtyard connecting the first floor and the top floor space. As the focus of the whole project, the pavilion on the roof can be directly seen from the courtyard to maintain consistency with the whole building. In addition to introducing natural light into the room, the courtyard can also provide flexible venues for ASA members to hold various activities, and can also be used as an extension of the multi-function hall when necessary. ▼ The center of the building is a courtyard connecting the first floor and the top floor space.

There is a small cafe on the roof leading to the top floor and a separate entrance for people to use when the office is closed. On the top floor of the building, there is a wooden Lanna Pavilion, whose scale and detail design refer to the suggestions of local veterans and builders. People can enjoy the roof space in the exhibition hall while overlooking the beautiful scenery of Sutie Mountain, the holy mountain in Chiang Mai.

The structure and facade of the building are made of local materials such as red clay and red brick, which can express the natural texture. The guardrail of the roof flower groove is all cast in situ and decorated with bamboo frames to alleviate the hardness of the surface material. Walking through the building, terraces and Lana-style pavilions constantly remind people of the charm of Lana Kingdom, which may become another source of inspiration for urban development.
