Tianhou Palace was founded in the Yuan Dynasty, and it is also called "Mazu Temple" in China, together with Mazu Tempel in Meizhou Island in Putian, Fujian and Chaotian Palace in Beigang, Taiwan Province. Built in the first year of Ming Dynasty (1436), the Confucian Temple is the most complete and magnificent ancient architectural complex in Tianjin, and the only one in China where officials and counties are integrated.
