The canyon scenic spot is located in Heishan Town, Wansheng District, Chongqing, and belongs to the canyon-type natural scenic spot. Originally named Li Yuhe, the scenic spot was opened to the public in May 2002 and was named Black Valley. The scenic spot is 20 kilometers away from Wansheng City and 95 kilometers away from downtown Chongqing. In 2002, Black Valley and Wansheng Shilin Scenic Area were successively rated as national AAAA-level tourist attractions, and in 2008, they were selected as "Twelve New Bayu Scenic Spots". In 2009, Wansheng District was awarded the National Geopark by the Ministry of Land and Resources. Since its opening eight years ago, the scenic spot has received nearly 3 million tourists.

In March 2009, the State Council approved Wansheng District as one of the second batch of 32 resource-exhausted cities. In the same year, in order to vigorously develop the tourism industry, Wansheng District Government bought back the Black Valley as a whole, and on the basis of high starting point and high standards, it invested huge sums of money in re-planning, development and packaging, and carried out a second upgrade for nine months.

The chief designer of this upgrade is Mr. Shen Yi, one of the designers of Beijing Olympic Stadium and National Aquatics Center "Water Cube". At the same time, in order to better manage the scenic spot, in February 20 10, Beijing Dingfeng Guozhi Tourism Management Company was entrusted to professionally manage the scenic spot, and the operation, image positioning, brand building and management promotion of the scenic spot were improved and promoted.

In the transformation of the new Black Valley, we are pursuing the quality of scenic spots. At the same time, the brand-new Black Valley Scenic Area will take "health, ecology, nature and environmental protection" as the propaganda theme of the scenic area, and health is positioned as the core concept of the Black Valley Scenic Area. According to the goal of "starting in an all-round way in one year, upgrading in three years, and leaping over in five years", it is planned to successfully build Montenegro into a world geological park, a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction, and the preferred eco-tourism leisure resort in Chongqing by 20/kloc, and to build Wansheng into an important tourist destination in China, receiving 7 million tourists (including 50,000 overseas tourists). The scale of tourism investment totaled 654.38+0 billion yuan; There are more than 25,000 tourism professionals.
