According to China and international standards, the dimensional stability of 8mm thick high-density substrate is about ≤2.5‰ when it is dried, so the 8-meter-long reinforced floor will stretch to 8.02 meters when it is wet, and then shrink from 8.02 meters to 8.008 meters when it is dried, which is about 12mm ... Because the actual retraction force is uneven, it will sometimes concentrate on the flat-fell joints of some floors, so the floor will crack. In order to prevent the shrinkage and expansion of the whole floor, when installing laminated wood floors, buckles or bridges should be installed every 8 meters.

Matters needing attention in floor laying

First, choose the right time to lay the floor.

1, choose the paving time and environment: the floor itself is made of natural wood, which requires high ambient temperature and humidity. The temperature of floor paving is generally between 16℃ and 30℃, which can keep the wooden floor in the best natural state. As far as seasons are concerned, spring and autumn are more suitable than Xia Dong. In 24 hours a day, avoid the construction at noon and night as much as possible, and it is best to start the construction after 2 pm.

2. Reasonable arrangement of decoration construction: the process of ground paving should be carried out after all foundation decoration construction is completed, so as to avoid damaging the paved ground during other construction. Especially after the completion of painting and bricklaying, laying can only be started after the completion of site sanitation. If the space where the floor is laid needs to be painted with wall paint, you can also reserve the time for the last painting when painting the wall paint. After the floor is paved, apply the wall paint for the last time. After the wall paint dries, finally install the footings of the floor.

Second, the floor is moisture-proof.

1. Moisture-proof treatment of materials: floor materials should be stored at room temperature for two days before paving. In order to better prevent moisture, the floor should be stored in a ventilated and dry place and protected with plastic film. Wet floors are more prone to mildew, and their service life will be greatly shortened, so they cannot be dried and reused. The bought floor should be moistureproof before laying. Apply a layer of moisture-proof protective paint on the reverse side of the floor to prevent the floor from being affected by the humidity of the paved floor, resulting in the floor being empty.

2. Ground treatment before paving: ensure the cleanliness of the ground and floor before installation. If necessary, brush a thin layer of cement slurry before paving to remove stains on the floor, and then pave after the cement is dry. In order to ensure the moisture-proof effect, the ground must be waterproof and moisture-proof, especially in the space near the kitchen and bathroom.

Third, the floor paving technology is good.

1, moistureproof floor mat paving should pay attention to: if the ground environment is humid, in addition to waterproof treatment, you should also use waterproof materials such as pearl cotton or aluminum film to make the ground dry, and then stick the floor to pave. When laying the floor mat, it should be noted that the floor mat must be laid flat without hollowing; Moreover, the mat must be firmly bonded to the ground, and it is forbidden to glue water only around the mat, which will seriously affect the moisture-proof function of the ground.

2. The paving method is particular: contraction joints should be reserved when the floor is installed, except for the floor expansion joint of about 1cm between the floor and the wall. There should also be gaps between floors, generally not exceeding1mm. When laying high-density floors, there should be gaps of 0.4mm on each floor to prevent bulging deformation in the future.

3. Paint is needed after paving: floor paint has a good protective effect on the floor.

Fourth, don't forget to clean and maintain afterwards.

Protection after construction: the paved floor must be covered with paper to avoid foreign objects or paint falling on the floor during decoration construction. Within 48 hours after the floor is paved (usually this period becomes the curing period of the floor), it is necessary to avoid frequent walking and placing heavy objects on the floor, and leave enough time for the floor glue to stick firmly and let the floor air dry naturally. The floor thus paved will be natural and durable. After the floor is paved, don't rush to open the window for ventilation or blow with air conditioner, which will not only accelerate the drying of glue, but will make the floor dry and fragile. Therefore, it is necessary to let the floor have some time to adapt to the indoor temperature and humidity.
