Zhai Jingxian pointed out in his speech that 1987, the World Health Assembly first put forward the concept of "healthy aging". As far as individuals are concerned, healthy aging means that people can keep normal in five functions, such as body, psychology, intelligence, society and life, so that the elderly can participate in valuable social activities for a long time. Due to the rapid development of population aging in China, the realization of "healthy aging" in China is very low, which is an "unreachable dream" for many people. However, healthy aging is a constant social development goal in the age of longevity. Whether it is science or politics, whether it is government or non-government, whether it is institutions or communities, whether it is families or the elderly, we should all work for the same goal. In the National Nutrition Plan (20 17-2030), the nutrition problem of the elderly population is emphasized. The elderly have special needs for nutrition according to their physiological characteristics and lifestyle differences. Scientific and reasonable diet and nutritious meals for the elderly are the fundamental conditions to ensure their health. By the end of 20 18, the elderly population over 60 years old in China had reached 250 million, accounting for 18% of the total population. Zhai Jingxian said that he believes that through this cooperation, all parties will work together to promote healthy aging through online catering nutrition and explore ways to promote healthy aging through social governance.

Fu Ping analyzed that the current social demand for nutritious meals for the elderly is affected by four factors, namely, the market is available, the elderly can afford it, the food is of good quality, suitable for the elderly, and some people send meals to the elderly with mobility difficulties. She predicted that with the accelerated development of China's aging society, the catering service industry for the elderly will become a blue ocean, and the way for Internet e-commerce to participate in the service industry in the silver age will become wider and wider. Create a closed-loop system of "nutritious meals for the elderly to households"

Many catering enterprises have also begun to attach importance to and increase the research and development of nutritious meals for the elderly. Bai Song, director of food safety management department of Beijing Jiahe Yipin Catering Management Co., Ltd. told reporters that as early as five or six years ago, Jiahe Yipin launched the dining table for the elderly. In recent years, according to the dietary nutritional needs of the elderly, we have developed light nutritious meals such as stir-fried sweet potato leaves, chicken rice porridge with chicken and yam as raw materials, and stewed brine tofu with Jinghua ham.
