The term "stagnation of liver qi" in TCM refers to depression and stagnation of liver qi.

Tip of the tongue: The average person's tongue is oval, and those with liver qi stagnation usually have a sharp tongue with some redness at the edge.

Long spots on the face: Some women have butterfly-shaped spots symmetrically on their cheeks, which are called "chloasma". Liver qi is blocked, leading to poor blood circulation, and pigmentation will stay on the skin, forming chloasma.

Long acne on the forehead: People with stagnation of liver qi or excessive thinking are often prone to excessive heart fire and floating on the forehead, which is manifested as acne.

Irregular menstruation: women's menstrual cycle is shortened, accompanied by dysmenorrhea, decreased menstrual flow, blood clots, short menstrual period, menstrual insomnia, abdominal distension and dizziness.

Disorder of spleen and stomach: People in a bad mood usually have a bad appetite, because stagnation of liver qi will lead to stagnation of spleen and stomach qi, resulting in loss of appetite, nausea, belching, acid regurgitation, abdominal distension and irregular stool. And it will make people thin or fat.

Dizziness and headache: once stagnation of liver qi occurs for a long time, liver qi rushes back to the head, causing dizziness and headache. This kind of headache is characterized by swelling and pain, and even a splitting headache. Headaches usually occur on both sides of the head or forehead.

Cold hands and feet: the liver dominates the four ends, and the ends of the limbs belong to the hepatic duct. If the liver qi is not comfortable, your hands and feet are prone to cold.

Bitter mouth and dry throat: bitter mouth after waking up in the morning; I always feel that my throat is very dry and there is no body fluid; There is always a foreign body sensation in my throat, and I can't swallow it or cough it up.

Cramp-prone: The main muscle of the liver, when liver blood deficiency nourishes tendons, the qi and blood will not be strong, and it will cramp.

Chest and hypochondriac pain: the liver is located in the chest and hypochondriac part, and stagnation of liver qi can easily lead to qi stagnation and blood stasis, which is easy to cause chest and hypochondriac pain.

If satisfied with the tip of the first tongue, one or two of these manifestations of liver-qi discomfort are consistent, and it can be basically inferred that liver-qi stagnation.

Dredging the liver meridian can reduce fire, straighten out liver qi and relieve liver depression. The liver meridian runs along the inner thigh. You should constantly massage the liver meridian on the thigh to make your blood and meridians unobstructed, and your mood, sleep and skin color will also be improved.

Pushing the liver meridian suggests nourishing the liver to help sleep every night before going to bed. A comfortable sitting posture, press the strength with your own weight, and then push it from the thigh root to the knee for 10 minutes every day.
