Crucian carp belongs to pelagic fish, similar to shad and carp. In fish ponds where crucian carp are generally raised, shad and carp are no longer mixed. In addition, there are two aspects that need attention: water quality and disease.
1, water quality
Crucian carp is similar to the four major fish, and has low requirements for water quality. Can be raised in conventional breeding ponds, slightly fatter than grass ponds. During the high temperature season from July to September, microecological agents, Bacillus subtilis, photosynthetic bacteria and other products can be used 1-2 times a month to adjust the water quality and control harmful indicators such as ammonia nitrogen and nitrite in the pond.
2. Illness
The improved crucian carp varieties have stronger disease resistance, fewer fulminant diseases and relatively easy treatment. The main diseases are: anchovy, giant salamander, sporozoite and hemorrhagic disease. Doing a good job of killing insects in spring and autumn, adjusting water in high temperature season and taking some Chinese medicines and vitamins orally can effectively avoid large-scale diseases.
