Chongqing -292km- Wanzhou -230- (Yunyang, Fengjie) Wushan-Daninghe Scenic Area -80km- Shennongding (the main peak of Shennongding is 3 105m above sea level, which is the highest peak in Central China.

The whole journey is about 600 kilometers and the estimated time is 9 hours. After the opening of Wanyu Road, it only takes more than 8 hours to get to Wushan, the main city (Wanzhou-Chongqing takes the expressway for more than 2 hours, but this expressway is strictly checked, so we must pay attention to speeding), and Wushan-Wanzhou only takes more than 4 hours, both of which are good grade kilometers.

Of the dozens of kilometers from Wushan to Shennongding (3 106 meters above sea level), only a few kilometers are bad roads, and the rest are good country roads. Entering Shennongjia Scenic Area, there are newly built cement roads.

This route is from Chongqing to Shennongjia. The nearest route is also a relatively new route (traditional route, Wanzhou-Lichuan-Badong-Shennongjia), saving more than 300 kilometers, plus all newly built roads. Cross the Daning River (Xiaoshan Gorge), enter from the back hill of Shennongjia and go straight to Shennongding (the main peak of Shennongding is 3 105 meters above sea level, which is the highest peak in Central China).

It's quite comfortable to go to Shennongjia and Xiangyang go on road trip for four or five days. Let me tell you something about my trip to Shennongjia for your reference:

Day 1: Xiangyang-Yinfu Expressway-Wudang Mountain. The whole journey is about 130 km. If there is a traffic jam in expressway, you can also choose to take the provincial highway. I was stuck here for a long time and chose to take the provincial road. The route continued along the road, and according to the navigation instructions, it also reached Wudang Mountain. Arrange accommodation and you can go up the mountain. Sightseeing takes a day.

The next day: Wudang Mountain-National Highway 209-Fangxian County-Hongping Town. This is a beautiful journey, about 200 kilometers. There is Hongping scenic spot next to it. The road here is called Gallery Road, with beautiful scenery and pleasant scenery. You can choose to spend half a day in Hongping Scenic Area and stay in Hongping Town at night.

Day 3: Hongping Town-Shennongding Scenic Area. The whole journey is about 30 kilometers. After purchasing tickets, you can enter the scenic spot, where you can drive in. Enjoy the scenery while driving, and stop for sightseeing when there are scenic spots. Stay in Pingqian Ancient Town at night.

Day 4: Not far from the ancient town, it is the Dajiu Lake Scenic Area. Park your car in the parking lot, buy tickets and take a bus ferry to visit the scenic spots. Here, after changing to a scenic spot, you have to wait for the next bus ferry at the station before you can visit the next scenic spot. After sightseeing here, it depends on where you want to go. If you are out of town, you can return it. If you go to other places, you can choose to stay in Muyu Town.
