Brief introduction of Lai family in Qiuxi
Lai's rise originated in the Central Plains and the old country. In the west, his brother (Uncle Won) made meritorious deeds in cutting merchants, and took stationing troops in Lai (now centering on Xixian County) as his fief, which led to the founding of the People's Republic of China, and was called Lai in history. After being annexed by Chu, the royal family was forced to migrate. In order to commemorate the hardships of their ancestors, future generations took the country as their surname and respected the British uncle as the ancestor of Lai Xing. Lai has a history of 3 134 years.

Lai Xing people have gone through many hardships, overcome many difficulties and obstacles, traveled all over Qian Shan, and experienced four large-scale migrations. Lai family in Shicheng is a branch of Hakkas who moved south. Since Ningdu Yayuan was naturalized as Shicheng, Lai Xing kept in mind his ancestral teachings, worked hard, inherited the social responsibilities of farming, studying and carrying on the family line, actively pursued his career and served the motherland. It has contributed to social evolution and economic development from generation to generation. We can proudly say that the clan spirit of Lai Xingren is a microcosm of Hakka spirit.

Lai's entry into Shicheng began in Sui Dynasty. In the 18th year of Emperor Yangdi Huang Kai (598), Shuogong (Zhong Fang), the ancestor of Laishi Hakkas in Ningdu, opened Chizhuping Base, which was requisitioned by the court for its magnificent geomantic omen. Descendants such as Shuo, De, Du, Ming, Si, Qiu and Yan migrated everywhere. Sigong (Xuanyi) moved to Guanzhu Garden, and his sons Lan and Hui moved to Qiuxi and Shangbi in Shicheng to settle down, creating a precedent for Lai to live in Shicheng for more than 400 years.

In the 13th year of Sui Huangkai (593), Shichengchang was established, which belonged to Ningdu. In the 11th year of Baoda in Southern Tang Dynasty (953), Shichengchang was promoted to county governance. During this period, descendants of Zhao, De and Du successively moved to Shicheng, bought houses and spread their branches. At this point, the four schools of Zhao, De, Du and Si, which are based in Shicheng, have developed and grown, and their descendants have spread all over Qinyang and become a prosperous family.

Over the past century, many descendants of Lai in Shicheng have spread as far away as Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Europe and America. It can be said that the stars shine and the world is prosperous.
