Judging from the information displayed on the Internet, most of the Wu family in Wugang, Qixian County, Kaifeng regarded Wu as their ancestor.

Wu, also known as the monarch of ancient vassal states, was a thinker, politician, strategist, educator, writer and medical scientist. Legend has it that he is Shun's teacher. Besides studying health preservation, he has also made achievements in literature and other aspects. For example, eleven articles of Wu are recorded in Hanshu Yiwenzhi, and Wu's alchemy method is recorded in Baopuzi Zhangmingben, but these works have been lost.
