I have been to these two scenic spots, but I have never lived there, so I can only talk about my views on these two scenic spots.

Maiji Mountain, located in Maiji District, Tianshui City, Gansu Province, is an isolated peak of Xiaolongshan, with a clear height of1.42m. It is named after the shape of the mountain like a wheat pile. Maijishan is famous because it has one of the four major Buddhist grottoes in China (the other three grottoes are Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Gansu, Yungang Grottoes in Datong, Shanxi and Longmen Grottoes in Luoyang, Henan).

Maijishan Grottoes was founded in 384~4 17 years, with caves of 2 1 1, clay sculptures 10632 and murals 1300 square meters, which is known as the Oriental Sculpture Art Exhibition Hall. The highest point of Maijishan Grottoes is nearly 100 meters from the ground, and the honeycombed caves are all connected by aerial plank roads erected on the cliff surface. It is extremely rare to be thrilling and dangerous.

When we go to Maijishan Grottoes, we can't help but see a little novice monk who is less than one meter tall. His sweet smile left a deep impression on people, as if he had brought us to a wonderful Buddhist world. After thousands of years of time and space changes, little novice monk's smile can still deeply touch people's hearts.

Maijishan is a national key scenic spot, a national 5A-level tourist attraction, a national geological park, a national key cultural relic protection unit, a world cultural heritage and one of the four largest grottoes in China.

Maiji Mountain Scenic Area consists of five sub-scenic spots, namely Maiji Mountain, Xianrenya, Shimen, Quxi and Jieting Hot Spring 180. With rich biodiversity and species, it is known as the "crown of forest springs in Longshang" and has high tourism value. It is a dazzling artistic pearl and the most potential tourist attraction on the golden tourist route of the ancient Silk Road.

Kongtong Mountain, located in Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is the fortress of the Western Silk Road. Kongtong Mountain has been known as "the first Taoist mountain in China" since ancient times. It is connected to Liupanshan Mountain in Ningxia in the west, Qinchuan Mountain in Shaanxi in the east, Guanshan Mountain in the south, Xiaoguan Mountain in the north, Jinghe River and Rouge River in the north and south, and meet in front of Wangjiashan Mountain. The elevation of the mountain is between1456 ~ 2123.5m, and the vertical height is 667.5m.. According to legend, the Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan Huangdi, who was revered as the ancestor of human beings, visited Kongtong Mountain in person and asked the wise men for advice on how to govern the country and how to keep in good health. Qin Shihuang and Liang Wudi also admired this mountain; Scholars such as Sima Qian, Du Fu, Bai Juyi, Lin Zexu and Tan Sitong have many praises.

Since 1994, Kongtong Mountain has successively won the laurels of national key scenic spots, the first batch of 5A-level tourist areas, China tourism culture demonstration sites, the top ten Taoist cultural tourist attractions in China and the top ten most beautiful religious mountains in China.

To sum up, I think these two scenic spots have their own characteristics and advantages. One is grotto culture plus natural scenery, and the other is Taoist culture plus natural scenery. There is no question of who is better than who. So I suggest that if you have time, visit these two scenic spots and experience them. I believe that after you have been there, you will leave a feeling of "I'm glad you came".

Kongtong Mountain Scenic Area is one of the first five-level scenic spots in China and one of the first two five-level scenic spots in Gansu Province! A mountain scenic spot integrating natural scenery with Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism.

Visitors can get off at Pingliang West Expressway exit 1 several kilometers, and then arrive at the ancient town of Kongtong Mountain Tourist Center. Train passengers can take bus 1 from Pingliang Railway Station, transfer to bus 13 at Panxuan Road Station, or take the double-decker bus of tourist special line to the tourist center of Kongtong Mountain Ancient Town, or walk up the mountain to the east gate of Kongtong Mountain.

There are four tour routes: 1. After purchasing tickets, take a bus to the ticket gate at the south gate of Kongtong Mountain and take a cable car to Zhongtai, or take a boat to Wang Mu Palace and then walk to Zhongtai, or walk to Zhongtai from the south gate via Wang Mu Palace. 2. After purchasing tickets at the ticket center of the ancient town of Kongtong Mountain, take the scenic bus ferry and go to China and Thailand via the ticket gate at the east gate of Kongtong Mountain. 3. After purchasing tickets from the ticket center of Kongtong Ancient Town, take the scenic bus ferry to Xiangshan Temple at the peak of Kongtong Mountain and visit China and Thailand from top to bottom along the mountain road. 4. Individual tourists can also walk to China and Thailand from the East Gate of Xia Hou.

The scenic spot is less than 10 km away from the urban area, and the tourist bus line is direct. There is a garden-style Guangcheng hotel not far from the foot of the mountain. Kongtong ancient town asked the post office, Banshanpo farmhouse is close at hand. It takes about ten minutes to drive into Pingliang city along Kongtong Avenue. The high, middle and low-grade hotels and guest houses in the city can meet all kinds of needs, especially the delicious food with northwest characteristics, which is economical and practical!

Mackey Scenic Area is a national scenic spot upgraded in our province in recent years. It is a cultural scenic spot alongside Yungang Grottoes, Longmen Grottoes and Ling Bing Grottoes in China, which is the heritage of Chinese civilization! There are many other scenic spots near McKee, so we can go and see them together.

These two styles are completely different. Kongtong Mountain pays equal attention to nature and humanities, and McKee gives priority to humanities. They are all color pages in Gansu. Welcome to the beautiful Kongtong Mountain and McKee!

Although both Maiji Mountain and Kongtong Mountain are called mountains, they are completely different types and cannot be compared.

Maijishan is famous for its grottoes, which is more than Mogao Grottoes, Longmen Grottoes and Yungang Grottoes. McKee 5A Scenic Area ranks first in the number of tourists coming to Gansu all the year round. This is an introduction. After arriving in McKee, visitors can choose Ren Xian Cliff, Shimen, Jingtu Temple and Jiezi Hot Spring. It is the head of a line.

Kongtong Mountain is the first famous mountain in Longdong, taking into account the north and the south, Taoism and Buddhism, occupying one mountain. The natural landscape is very good. Unfortunately, it is an isolated scenic spot with few tourists all the year round. Pingliang City is operating at a loss, and now Shaanxi has taken over the tourism development.

Speaking of accommodation, Maijishan must have defeated Kongtong Mountain. Everyone who has been there knows that there is basically no good accommodation in Kongtong Mountain in the scenic spot, and all they eat are some barbecue snacks.

In Maijishan Scenic Area, there are five-star garden scenic hotels "Harmony Garden", Maijishan Hotel, Silk Road Hotel and many other star hotels, as well as Houchuan farmhouse street, all of which are food and shelter, and the number of tourists determines everything!

It is most suitable for Maijishan to stay in Beidao District on the same day, and it is best to stay in Pingliang Kongtong Mountain for one night. So there is no comparability.

By contrast, I feel that Tianshui Maijishan has a greater advantage. Let's look at the number of tourists in Gansu Province every year. Maijishan Grottoes are in the top three places, and I have been to many scenic spots. Most of them are not as valuable as Maijishan Grottoes, and the cost performance is excellent. Maijishan Grottoes is a one-stop tour, Maijishan, Shimen, Quxi, Dangchuan and Jieting hot spring resorts. Tickets are also cheaper than many scenic spots in China. One ticket, 90 yuan. You can go to the Botanical Garden to see Maijishan Grottoes. It is convenient to eat and live. There are many hotels and farmhouses nearby, and you can also eat and live in Maiji District. Pingliang Kongtong Mountain is also good, but the scenic spots are too single. Accommodation facilities are not complete. After the Tian Ping Expressway is repaired, you can see two scenic spots a day, and you can punch in! Welcome to travel in Gansu. Gansu people welcome the people of the whole country!

Personally, I think Pingliang Kongtong Mountain tourist area is better, with mountains and water, large forest coverage and many kinds. You can climb mountains, enjoy the scenery and see the historical relics of the integration of the three religions. Moreover, Pingliang is a famous health-keeping city in China, with a strong awareness of health-keeping among the whole people and good food and accommodation. I have experienced it personally, and everyone can experience it if they have a chance.

Kongtong Mountain and Maiji Mountain are both cultural and natural landscapes on the Silk Road, and they are valuable tourism resources in Gansu Province. The sculpture ceremony of Maijishan wooden bones and mud tires left four precious grottoes, which are the treasures of China sculpture art. The tourism here is open and mature, there are many farmhouses outside the scenic spot, and the hygiene habits are good. Tianshui's special food will leave a good taste during the tour, and there are also many food snacks in the scenic spot, such as cold noodles and quack. Kongtong Mountain is a famous Taoist mountain. The legend of Huang Di's asking about Guang has left a rich Taoist cultural heritage. The imperial city on Matou Mountain and the temples and academies on the platform have formed a religious and cultural atmosphere of Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. There is a Kongtong vegetarian restaurant and many restaurants on the platform. The scenic spot is not far from Pingliang city, and there is also a Kongtong restaurant at the foot of the mountain. These two mountains are good places to visit.

Maiji Mountain and Kongtong Mountain belong to the 5A scenic spot in Gansu Province, and are also located in the east of Gansu Province, belonging to the remnants of Liupanshan Mountain. But they belong to two different types of scenic spots.

Let's talk about Maijishan first. Maijishan Grottoes is one of the four largest grottoes in China and a world cultural heritage. If there is one reason why you must come to Maiji Mountain, it is undoubtedly to see the grottoes. During the period of Five Lakes and Sixteen Countries, Maijishan has already started to dig caves and statues, and has been continuously excavated and repaired in past dynasties, gradually becoming today's scale. If you are interested in grotto statues, you must visit McKee as soon as possible. Due to the weathering and instability of rock strata, Maijishan Grottoes, like other grottoes, are facing the problem of natural erosion. Therefore, for the protection of grottoes, scenic spots will reduce the number of grottoes open to tourists and further limit the number of tourists, just like Dunhuang and other scenic spots. I clearly remember the different feelings of visiting Maijishan Grottoes twenty years ago and two or three years ago. Some grottoes have been closed to ordinary tourists and some statues have even been damaged.

Let's talk about Kongtong Mountain again. This famous Taoist mountain is said to be a place of extensive practice, and emperors and literati of all dynasties have left footprints. It is also the birthplace of Kongtong Wushu. Compared with Maijishan Gu Feng, the scenery of Kongtong Mountain is more spectacular and layered. The buildings in the mountains in the Ming and Qing Dynasties are patchwork, and tourists are in it, which is quite a sense of finding a way in the fairy mountain.

Compared with McKee, the scenic spot of Kongtong Mountain is larger, and the tour time is about one day. It takes about half a day to visit Maiji Mountain.

Accommodation arrangements, whether Tianshui or Pingliang, are not too big a problem. Tianshui is the second largest city in Gansu, with high-speed rail and convenient transportation. Eating habits are close to Guanzhong area in Shaanxi Province. Although Pingliang is not as prosperous as Tianshui and has no high-speed rail, it is an important town of the Silk Road with a long history. Pingliang has many Huizhou Cuisine halls with local characteristics.

If there is enough time, the two scenic spots can go together, both of which are worth seeing.

Both are called mountains, but Mackey is mainly a grotto, and Kongtong Mountain is a Taoist place! On momentum, area, history, culture and popularity, Pingliang is an empty mountain.

Each has his own merits, and you can play with plenty of time.
