Lianzhou Town was established on August 25th, 2003 with the approval of Guangdong Provincial Civil Affairs Department. It is a central town formed by the merger of Shangheng Town and Lianxi Town. The town is located in the northwest of Zhuhai City, facing Banfu Town of Zhongshan City across the river in the east and bordering Gu Jing Town and Hezhou Town of Xinhui City in Jiangmen City in the northwest. It covers an area of 88.6 square kilometers, with a registered population of 43,000, permanent residence of 3 17 and population of 1 127; Floating population 15 households with 60 people.
