Duolun County, located at the eastern end of the northern foot of Yinshan Mountain, is a county with a long history. Duolun County has traces of ancient human activities as early as the Neolithic Age, which is unmatched by many counties and cities.
Duolun County borders Zhenglan Banner in the west, Keshiketeng Banner under Chifeng City in the north, Guyuan County under Zhangjiakou City in Hebei Province and Fengning County and Weichang County under Chengde City in Hebei Province in the south. It is an important platform for Xilin Gol League's foreign exchange and cooperation. Up to now, the county has a total area of 3,863 square kilometers. Due to its superior geographical location and convenient transportation, Duolun County is one of the few counties in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region that will have a railway station. Economically, Duolun's performance is also remarkable. Its GDP in 2020 has reached 4.79 billion. Some people may think it is ordinary, but for a county with a permanent population of only103700, this achievement is excellent enough.
Although Duolun covers an area of less than 4,000 square kilometers, it has won the reputation of "China Forest Oxygen Bar" with its beautiful environment. Duolun County is a good choice for both summer vacation and health preservation. In terms of tourism, the famous scenic spots in Duolun County include Duolun Lake, Guniang Lake, Nansha Liang, Dadukou and Hui Zong Temple, among which Duolun Lake is a national AAAA-level scenic spot and the most representative one among many scenic spots in Duolun County.
